Mia Duncan's POV
"You can't be serious, Mia. After all, that we have been through and done together for the last 6 months, you can't just throw away the life that you have built here, in the United States," Sabrina, one of my friends at Femme Fatale and founders, has been giving me a headache after I spilled the bomb that I wanted to quit.
"Look, Sabby, do you remember why we found this organization in the first place?" I asked her as I was sitting right across her at the table. We were at the organization's lounge as we were having a chill day and did not have anything to do. Alina, Anastasia, and Camila were out to have some relaxation at the spa. Sabrina and I were more of the stay-at-home kind of gals.
"Yeah, it is to help other people that were being bullied by bad people. Sorry, not a very formal language usage but you get the point," Sabrina said as she sipped on her coffee in the middle of brunch time.
"I'm hungry, do you want to get out?" I asked her as I got up from my seat.
"Where in the world do we get some brunch at this time?! For god's sake, Mia, you need to reach your memory. We were in the middle of nowhere, remember?" Sabrina said as she mentioned the forest that our headquarters were in the middle of a mountain that has no access to the public, only to the members of the Femme Fatale.
"Fine, so what do you suggest we get food around here?" I asked her as I crossed my hands in front of my chest. Sabrina smiled at me wickedly as she got up from her seat.
"I know just a place," she said before dragging me out of the building.
"You know, when I said brunch, I don't mean that we need to go to the club in the middle of the afternoon," I said as I looked at the sign of the club, 'Femme Fatale'.
"You will like it here, I'm sure. Now, don't be a sour puss. Come on," Sabrina said as she went inside the club. I sighed and rolled my eyes before I entered the club while mumbling about how dumb it was to come here.
"Ladies, welcome," the familiar voice of the man made me shoot my gaze in Sabrina's direction.
"Sabby, don't you say that..." was the last thing that I said before I was rudely interrupted by that man.
"Yes, Sabrina told me that you want to quit the club. Any reasons why?" Our boss said as he looked at me and ushered us to take a seat at the table.
"Umm, I have enough of this espionage life. I wanted to be with the man that I have left behind and loved dearly. I can't bear to watch him for searching me again," I said as I looked at the old man's face. He looked at me before he sighed.
"I know that feeling. I would never miss the world to be with my beloved," he said as he looked at the wedding ring on her left hand. He took a deep breath before looking at me.
"Go, little Duncan, be with the one that had stolen your heart from the beginning as you came to me to build this organization," the old man said as he looked at me with his fatherly love. I smiled before I got up very fast which caused my chair to stumble back.
"Thank you, sir, thank you," I said before I took Sabrina into my arms to hug her.
"Okay, I let you just this once," she said as I bear-hugged her.
"Thank you, thank you, oh thank you, Sabby," I whispered to her.
"Don't mention it. And say hello to your boo," she said as she patted my back.
"Have a safe trip home, Damia Duncan," the old man said as I went out of the Femme Fatale club and ran off to catch a cab at the side of the street. A cab stopped and I went inside.
