Liam Hunt's POV
"There are 2 people that are guarding the door. Be careful, love," I said as I looked through the heat vision google. I was pointing the Dragunov at the warehouse as I was located at the nearest building near them. It was a chilly night but it did not chill me at all. With all the excitement to kill, I could never miss or notice the temperature.
"Alone tonight?" A voice was coming from my behind and when I turned, a bag was covering my head and I was sedated heavily before I went into the darkness.

"Liam, you must stay strong, don't let anything come in between you and your dreams," my guardian said as he drew his last breath on his deathbed when I just finished college and was ready to get the criminal that killed my parents. I never thought that I might fall in love with the devil herself.
"Wakey, wakey sleeping beauty," a voice said as a hand was slapping my face. I was surprised as the lights were shining on my face. I was outside, on the roof to be exact, as the wind was blowing so much.
"Ah, missing that Duncan woman already?" Marina said as she looked at me with her big eyes. I was trying to look as hard as I can. She chuckled at me.
"Oh, Liam Hunt. What a pleasure that you can join us and I was hoping that your partner would also come in time to save you as I would not want her to miss the performance of a lifetime," she said before the rooftop was lighting up and I was surprised to see the instrument that she made.
It was as big as a tank that was bombed that could kill within 30 miles radius of the city. I was struggling in my seat as I wanted to take it down. Its timer was showing 30 minutes and counting as it was getting ready to blow up and I was sitting right in front of him.
"Do you like it? I made it myself but of course with some help from my friend. Mr. Burgess. You might know him," she turned around and looked at me, smiling wickedly.
"I'm sure you will not be disappointed as Mr. Burgess was one of the bomb experts that I ever knew. It's a shame really that he died," Marina said as she was walking around me.
"You must know how he died, you're the detective that was on his case, isn't it? I ensure you that Mia Duncan was the killer, just like the report said. But, oh dear, you fell in love with the prime suspect of your case. Such a shame indeed," she said as she was standing in front of me.
"I'm sure you will be able to put her in jail try soon," she said as she was looking down at me. I looked at her.
"And you would be able to escape the jail penalty. In your dreams, Kasun," I said as I was looking at her. She smirked at me before she pushed me by the chair.
"Hunt, I have been away from the jail my whole life, you think your little threat would scare me? You might need to step up your game," she said as she let me go. I was almost stumbling back but I stabled on the chair and I heaved a heavy breath.
"Mia will stop you," I said as I looked at her. Marina looked at her shoulder as she was smiling wickedly.
"We'll see about that," she said as the wind was blowing at the night that I knew would have much more to come.
Mia Duncan's POV
"Damn it," I said as I was driving the car to my final destination. Liam was not at his post. It was too late to get to him in time after I saved Marco. Anastasia was a diversion that was made by Marina to get to Liam.
"I swear if anything happened to him, you will be responsible for it, Anna," I said as I looked out the rearview. Anna was looking down at her fidgeting fingers.
