The One

I held the note close to my heart. I took a deep breath and folded the note again. I put the note on the stand next to me.

"The doctor said it will be a few days before you can go home" Techno said as he walked in.

"Oh but I can't, I am king what if something happens? Is there a way to speed of the process?"

Techno chuckled softly.

"Karl has everything under control and this takes time George" (Techno)

I am glad to see him smile again.

I looked around for any sign of Dream.

"Is..." I said before Techno cut me off.

"Dream here? No he isn't, he had to go" (Techno)

"Oh alright"

"He might be back, Sapnap is coming here to take care of you, maybe Dream will be with him" Techno said as he sighed.

"What about you?" I asked.

"I will be seeing what else I could find about mom and dad" He said as he sat down on my bed.

"Oh yeah...that" I said as I sighed.

"It's too much, this was all happening under our noses" he said as he clenched his fists.

"We were just kids Techno"

"Yeah but mayne just maybe....we could've saved mom" He said as he stopped clenching his fists.

"There was no way, we didn't know, now don't you beat yourself up about it" I said as I slightly smiled.

He smiled.

"Techno" Sapnap whispered as he entered the room.

He had 3 bags full of stuff. He saw me and then Techno and dropped the bags.

"GEORGE" he shouted.

He ran towards me. He held my head close to his chest.

"Thank god" he whispered.

"I am going to go now, I will see you guys later" Techno said as he left the room.

Sapnap stopped hugging me.

"Where's.....Dream?" I said as I cleared my throat.

"He didn't come, he needed some time to cool off" Sapnap said as he brought his bags over.

"Oh alright" I said as I sighed.

"Do you need anything? I brought anything you need" (Sapnap)

He started taking stuff out.

"I have this blanket, this jacket, these pants, a hair brush, some medicine, a picture of Dream" he said as he handed me the items.

I put thebother things to the side. I held Dream's picture in my hands. It was a framed picture of him smiling on the beach. He was shirtless and wearing shorts. I stared at it.

"I also brought snacks, more blankets, some books, a sketchbook, some pencils, and other stuff" Sapnap said as he put the bags down.

He got the other stuff and put them away. I brushed my finger on Dream's face on the picture.

"I shouldn't have brought that I am sorry" he said as he reached for the picture.

"No it's okay" I said as I put the picture closer to me.

"I thought bringing it would make you happy, but you look upset" he said as he sat down in a seat next to me.

"I am fine really, just a lot happened" I said as I sighed.

"Yeah, I am so glad you are still here with us" Sapnap said as he adjusted himself.

"Sapnap, I need your advice" I said as I sighed.

"What's up" He said as he got closer.

"How do you know if you are in love?" I said as I looked at Dream's picture.

"Well everyone has a different meaning for love, for me when I started to like Karl, I felt like I would do anything for him, even if it killed me. I wanted to put him before myself. The thought of him makes my day. He always seems to make me smile. He is my reason to live" Sapnap said as he softly chuckled.

"I think I am in love" I said as I put the photo down.

"You are?" (Sapnap)

"Yeah, I think so, I mean I did risk my life to save him" I said as I quietly chuckled.

Sapnap laughed.

"Are you going to tell him?" (Sapnap)

"I don't know, I don't think Techno approves"

"George....who the fuck decides who you get to be with. This is your life. If you love him be with him" Sapnap said in a harsh tone.

"And for godsakes you already had sex with him" Sapnap blurted out.

He quickly covered his mouth. I started to laugh but stopped because it hurts my stomach.

"I am sorry" Sapnap said as he laughed.

"Don't worry I already know, it has been brought up many times" I said as I softly chuckled.

Sapnap opened his mouth to speak.

"You don't wanna know"

"Well...how was it" Sapnap said as he tried to hold in his laughter.

"What do you mean? I don't remember Sapnap" I said as I giggled.

"Oh so this was before, I wonder if he got better" Sapnap said jokingly.

"Oh my gosh Sapnap" I said as I shook my head and chuckled.

"I can't imagine you and Dream you know..." Sapnap said as he laughed.

Suddenly the door opened. It was Dream.

"Speak of the devil" Sapnap said as he continued to laugh.

"George" Dream said with a sigh of relief as he quickly walked towards me.

He held my head close to his chest. He kissed my forehead and let go.

"Did you hear what we said?" Sapnap said as he calmed down.

"No, what is it something bad?" Dream said as he still looked at me.

"Not necessarily" Sapnap said as he held in his laughter.

Dream looked down to see a picture of him. Shit. He picked it up and chuckled.

"I didn't know you had picture of me" Dream said as he smiled.

"He doesn't, I stole it from your house" Sapnap said as he laughed.

"I look good" Dream said as he handed me the picture.

He looked at me while he handed me the picture. He had cleaned up his cut on his face. He looked better emotionally.

"Did...you get my note?" Dream asked nervously.

"Um yeah" I said as I grabbed the note from the table beside me.

"You don't need to respond with anything, I just needed to tell you" Dream said as he sighed.

"Dream....you were wrong" I said as I gave him the note.

He looked confused.

"You are the right one for me, no matter what happens I always come back to you, I love you" I said as I smiled.
