The Pond

I froze. Dream likes me? As a friend or more than a friend?

I ran out of the house.

"KARL" I heard Dream shout.

"BYE SKEPPY I HAVE TO GO AND DO SOMETHING I WILL TALK TO YOU TOMORROW" I shouted as I ran.

"Um bye!" Skeppy shouted.

Tears were forming in my eyes. Great just great Karl. You were supposed to make George happy and now his boyfriend likes you. Way to go Karl.

I ran to the pond and sat by it. I looked at my reflection. Stop crying you cry baby. I wiped my tears and kept staring at my reflection. The trees around me were shaking. A gust of wind went towards me. Just great.

"Karl..." Dream said as he put his hand on my shoulder.

I took his hand off.

"Go away"

"Please just let me explain" Dream said as he sat next to me.

"Okay fine explain" I said firmly.

"I said I think, I am not really sure" (Dream)

"What makes you think you like me"

"It is just that......when XD pretended to be you he was so realistic. I wanted to hit XD so bad but I couldn't because it was you. He sounded like you and looked like you. I couldn't make myself hit him and he knew that" (Dream)

"Dream that is just because we are friends, that doesn't mean you like me"

"Look I am sort of new to all these feelings, my life hasn't been this interesting for a long time" Dream said as he softly chuckled.

"Well we are friends Dream and what you explained to me is just that you don't want to hurt me in any way, shape, or form, even if it isn't me, which just means you care about me, which I am glad you care because this would have been a weird friendship if you didn't" I said as I quietly giggled.

"Yeah I guess so, see I have no problem hitting Sapnap we are just close like that, and I just scared of Techno, but you....I just couldn't" (Dream)

"You think you would feel guilty?"

"Yeah, don't get me wrong you are a nice guy but I was kind of hoping for Bad to tell me that I was just wrong or something because I love George I really do" (Dream)

"I know you do, plus you aren't really my type" I said as I giggled.

"Oh wow harsh, what is your type? Let me guess your type is.....Sapnap" Dream said jokingly.

I just stared at him. I started to smile and nod.

"NO FUCKING WAY I WAS JUST JOKING BUT WOW THAT IS JUST WOW" Dream shouted.

"That isn't even a type. What type is Sapnap" I said as I just laughed.

"Weird lover boy type" (Dream)

"So um....what's his type?" I said nervously.

"You obviously" Dream said as he chuckled.

I smiled.

"How is George doing?"

"Well, I left him to look for you, Sapnap is looking after him right now" (Dream)

"I have a question..."

"What is it?" (Dream)

I might regret this but it is worth a shot. Right?

"Has Sapnap....ever liked a boy other than me? I think he likes me, I feel like we are sort of complicated right now"

"Um....yeah he has" (Dream)

"Who?"

".....one of his friends" (Dream)

"George?" I said jokingly.

Dream slowly nodded.

"Wait....he liked George?"

"Yeah....this was before me and George dated" (Dream)

I got up and dusted my pants. Seriously? He liked George? Maybe even still likes. Dream stood up. I began to walk away. I just can't today. I felt Dream grab my hand.

"Karl" (Dream)

"Just tell me this one thing....does he still like him"  I said as I pulled away.

"I- I don't know" (Dream)

I felt...hurt. We aren't dating but I felt really hurt. Tears were forming. Dream looked alarmed. He looked like he was looking for something.

"Karl, I love you lets forget about George and Sapnap and go somewhere far away" Dream shouted as he grabbed my hand and walked towards his house.

"Shh" he whispered.

I stayed silent. What was he doing?

Once we were further from the pond we stopped walking. He began to hug me. He didn't let go.

"XD was watching us" he whispered as we still hugged.

"Really?" I whispered.

"Yeah we have to make it as if we don't like George and Sapnap so he thinks his plan is going well, right now he thinks it is" he whispered.

"We need to find who summoned him but how if he is going to watch us?" I whispered.

"I love you" Dream shouted.

He pretended to give me a kiss on my cheek.

"I will think of something but we have to pretend we are in love" Dream said as he whispered again.

"Alright but what about Sapnap and George?"

"They won't know, right now we have to deal with XD" (Dream)

"We should go home....babe" I shouted as I pulled away from the hug.

Dream was trying to hold in his laughter. We began to walk to his house still holding hands.

XD POV

These fools really love eachother. Just wait until how heartbroken George will be. My plan is set up. Now I just need more....power.

I followed Dream and Karl to Dream's house. They were at the door and stopped holding hands. They seemed to have played it off that they aren't together. Before they opened the door Dream blew an air kiss.

Interesting....

I just made Dream realize who he really loves. Step 1 is complete.

Karl POV

We went inside his house. It was just Sapnap on the couch. Sapnap quickly got up to hug me. I pushed him away. I was still a bit mad.

"He is a little....annoyed today, he will be staying with me for a while" Dream said as he went to the kitchen.

I sat down on the couch and looked at the ground. I felt guilty but why. I was just faking it. He was in love with George. Why is this so difficult. Why can't I have a normal life?

See I told you there is going to be a lot of Karl. Right now I am trying to figure out a way to bring George as an important part of the story so yeah (any ideas? My dms are open). I have been trying to lost a chapter a day but I have some irl things to do especially with education, so yeah I posted 2 chapters today, enjoy. Stay hydrated :)
