It began to rain as I was on my way home and when i returned to my home i was soaked and my feet were killing me.

My mum on the other hand didnt want me any where near her dresses that she had been working so hard on so she made me wait outside in the rain while she fetched me some dry clothes. When she returned and i finally was clean... ish she let me in to the warm house.

I handed her the bread and sat at the small table we had in the kitchen. while she returned to her sewing. I wathced as her wrinkly cut hands gently moved along the fabric, I could hear here humming softly to some song, it was quiet relaxing.

I had thought hard as to what I would say to mother about school it has been on my mind for quit some time and now its my opportunity to take the next step.

"Mum?" I let the words quietly come out of my mouth just enough for her to lift her head to me for a second signalling she was listening to whatever i had to say.

"I was looking at a Article in the paper today about art school..."

My mother lifted her head to me again her eyes widened alittle.

"Lia".... she started off and by the sound of her voice i already knew the response she was going to have.

"Mum if you would just listen to me for once!!"

she sighed and removed the fabric from the wheel of the sewing machine and turned her whole body to face me.

"Mum i know it cost money.... but Mark was telling me about this th...."

"Mark!!" she scoffed " He just fills your head with crazy ideas"

"Mum...... let me finish.."

"Fine" she said crossing her legs

"They have this thing called a student loan its new and you get a loan from the school that allows you to attened for free but you pay it off through out the year...."

and again she cut me off

"I know what it is Lia and i dont want you taking part in any such things." My mothers voice spoke with such force.

"But Mum do you not see the Opportunity that i have to fulfill my dream?" My voice almost cracking as i pleaded.

"Lia No means NO!" she boomed as my heart almost fell out of my chest.

"Mum im not a child anymore i need to go and do this..... Please!?!!" i begged almost on my knees.

"Lia Im not discussing this any farther .... now go to your room"she ordered me the angrer showing in her eyes as she pointed down the dimply lit hallway.

my eyes began to tear up and i slowly stood up and made my way to my room.

Why did she not believe in my dreams?

How come i always was treated like a child?

I slowly walk down the damp dirt road sliding my feet along and kicking any stray rocks that metmy torn feet.

My mother had once again sent me on a trip into town. Life wasnt fair, How was it that i was given a life where i had to work hard to be able to eat.

As i walked along i came to a field of grain that went on for miles and miles the wind was lightly blowing in the tall stems you could hear it whistling around the trees . my Long brown culry hair blew behind me as i walked along holding my shal closed and keeping my head down.i guess i didnt realize i was in the middle of the road until i heard his voice.....

"Lia!!!" he called

I tilted my head up to see James's wagon stopped a little ahead of me.

his face glowed with a beautiful smile, He stepped out of his wagon and walked closer to me. He was very much taller then me maybe by to feet but it was comforting in a way.

"where are you headed?" he asks me as i look him in the eyes.

I never wanted to stop looking at him. he was so wonderful, he was perfect in every way.

"Lia?"his voice said again snapping me out of my trance

"I-I was heading to town" i managed to say letting my voice fade out and my stare wonder to the field again.

"Can i give you a lift?" He asks his voice so kind and deep it comforted me.

I really wanted to say yes.... but for some reason my voice wasnt working. Either i was stunned that he wanted to give me a ride.

"I-I-I couldnt" My voice shook from the wind.

"really it's know trouble at all..... a favor for a friend" he reached his hand out and gently placed it on my lower back sending tingles all over me. he guided me into his wagon and he headed towards town.

"well...that isn't fair at all" James said with sencerity in his soft voice.

"yeah she doesnt get that this is something i really want to do" i replied

" I have seen your work and it is Very good"James complimented me

"thanks james that means alot" I titlted my head down to my lap to hide my face because i was blushing so much.

There was an awkward silence after that and i didn't know what to say really but just stare out that window.

soon james voice spoke out breaking it...

" you know what why dont i just bring you to my home ... my mother has a garden and she bakes she can get you whatevere you were going into town for." he says a smile pointing towards me, i couldnt take my gaze away from his eyes again, its something i could get lost in.

He had a very thin jaw line and a longer face his hair twirled at the ends and poked up a small bit into the air his lips were soft and pink he had a longer noce but it suited him very nicley and his eyes peeked from the center of his face they shone with blue, he was tall fit fellow very built and dressed very nicley almost like a rich person would though i new he wasn't.

"If your sure she wouldn't mind.." I replied to his offer.

"No not at all she would be happy to see you" his voice so sure and encouraging.

Soon James pulled into a small path and made his way to a two store lightly lit house, the house almost looked new, it had tiny brown rocks that circled the whole house and two big windows in the front it also had a balcony over top of the door.

As we entered the home the aroma of bread hit my nose and made shivers go down my spine.

This was his home.

I'm in James Wendell's home

Is this real life?

I could hear music being played from up the stairs, which I followed James too. We entered the family room the was lit with a beautiful for place the walls almost shone from the glow of the fire.

Someone I'm guessing it was Jame's brother was playing a guitar to church songs.

He lifted his head to us as we entered and smiled at me and then at James, But it was more of a cheeky looking smile then a polite smile.

"Hey who's your friend" he spoke still cheekily looking at both of us which made me uncomfortable.
