My mother didn't know how to think of others.
She didnt know how to see something that people loved.
She wasn't the type to encourage others, and in a way leaving my brother was a terrible mistake, but i had to get away from there, I had to start my new life with or without the help of my mother.
I really didnt know where i was headed but the only way to start was to find a job to earn that 200 dollars. Maybe Melody would let me stay with her? we were friends.
I made my way up to Melody's house and knocked on the door, hoping she might be home and not working for her grandma like she did every day. But to my luck when the door opened there stood a cheerful Melody.
"Hey!" she beamed and gave me a quick hug and inviting me inside before I could respond to her "hello"
"Hi" i chuckled at her
"what brings you around?" melody questioned me still smiling .
"Well i need a place to stay" I hinted to her not wanting to be a burden.
she laughed "well my home is your home" she said and wrapped her arm around me shoulder.
"thanks mel!" I answered befoe turnign and looking around her home.
She had about the same sized house as me but with one extra bedroom that her father built last year.
Melody and I have been friend ever since the first grade she had blonde curly hair and blue eyes. she was a very intelligent girl and was also very beautiful. I was so lucky to have her as a friend.

melody lead me down a tight dark hallway to the room i would be staying in for a while.
"Now" she said closing the door behind us as we walked in the small room.
"What did you mom do this time." she asked
I chuckled to myself as my eyes wondered to the white walls.
"She just doesn't understand" i told her looking into her concerned eyes.
Melody had been there for me many times before with my father leaving and past fights with my mum, I knew she would be there for me again and i would do the same.
I told her the whole thing about the article and James's house, I had talked to Melody many times before about James and she knows i really like him. I'm surprised she hasn't shot me for talking about him so much.....
She didnt see surprised when i told her the part with my mother.
Mostly because this has happened so many times before in my life.
><>< Flash Back ><><
"MUM!!!" I screamed to her as she flinched at my voice.
"You will not hangout with them you don't need friends" she talked back.
I was finally invited to hangout with some kids from school, They finally wanted to hangout with me..... and my mother being the stubborn dream crusher she was wasn't allowing me to go.I dont see how i was even still living here why didnt i just run away.
being mad i stomped away from her and ran out the back door as the thought crossed my mind again.
Behind our home we had a forest that i loved to play in. I was always frightened to go really deep into it in case i got lost or something. But a little ways in me and my best friend Melody had built a fort. I really needed to talk to her she was my only friend and the only one my mother would approve.
As i approached the small wooden shack i saw a dim light from the candle placed inside which is how i knew melody was there. By the this time i was crying , and Melody saw that when i walked in
"Your mother again?!" she asked with no surprise in her expression when i nodded my head
Yes.
><>< End of Flash back><><
You see Melody is like my sister she has been there since forever, and i know she is always listening.
