.... I turned my head around to only be met with the most beautiful eyes I had ever looked upon.
I had almost forgotten how much his eyes shone they were a light blue color, they made me feel all warm inside, Especially when our eyes met.
I shook my head to the ground trying to think of an excuse, Because honestly i wanted him to sit with me but i was to chicken..... to say it.
"Um mm... No sorry" the words slipped from my mouth they weren't meant to but it still happened.
"Why... not??... he stuttered.
I searched my mind for any reason what so ever, Then a thought came and before i could stop myself it flew from my lips.
"My Imaginary Friend is sitting there..." I almost gasped at what i had just said ... how childish of me...
He let out a weak laugh and a smirk on his face.... "Really?!" he spoke...
"Y-Yeah.." I spoke with more pride.
"I see" ......' Your kidding right?" he said as he sat down beside me.
Well so much for that plan.
"You know your pretty funny" James said while placing his bag at his feet.
I just slouched back in my seat trying to dig a deeper hole. "Thanks..." I said weakly
><><><><><><><><><
I tried to stay as far away from him as i could from his seat that was only separated from mine by a arm rest. I truly loved his presents and it killed me that i could rest my head on his shoulder or hold his hand while we sat there. But i could only look out the window and try to get my mind off of that to think of something else. So I picked up my book and began reading it once more.
"What are you reading?" James leaned over in his seat looking at the cover.
"Wings..." I said with a straight face not taking my eyes off of the book trying to stop this conversation.
which worked cause he slouched back in his chair and looked away from me. His expression was silent his eyes narrowed at the other passengers and it almost seemed he was thinking really hard.
When he finally spoke he was angry.
"Why are you not talking to me?" he asked looking straight ahead at the chair in front of him.
I tried to swallow the lump in my throat that seemed to have formed a little while ago. but didn't want talk or answer that question that had arose.
"Im just consitrated on my book" My lie flowed from me and i new it was a terrible excuse but he bought it...
He turned his head around and i went on with my book. But i was to distracted by his presents that i finally just closed my book and looked out the window.
5 minutes passed and he spoke again this time turning to me....
"Lia... why are you being so awkward?" he asked his eyes pleading me to tell the truth and i really couldn't lie anymore ...
"Well.." I stuttered to find the proper words.. but he read mind and spoke for me..
"Is it because of what you told me?" he asked taking the thoughts out of my mind and making them a real thing.
i just slowly nodded my head... and tryed not to make eye contact...
I saw him smirk from beside me and look away for a minute.
Really i didn't know what was so funny about this conversation.... i was dieing inside and he was laughing...
" You don't have to feel awkward around me i still want to be your friend... your a very nice person you don't have to be embarrassed " he said Looking back at my turned head he placed his hand on my shoulder, and i swear jolts of electricity shot through me, I was shocked from his touch It arose the strangest .. yet best feeling inside of me...
I met his eyes and his stare was burning into my heart making my breaths much deeper. It was obvious he wanted this relationship to work... even though i felt it was over... he didn't he still wanted this friendship we had he wanted it to grow.... and that's exactly what i felt inside after that...
I allowed a smile to creep upon my lips and he returned one when he saw mine.
"Friends?.." he said nodding his head..
"Friends" i replied proudly and sat back comfortably into my seat.
"Soo... who is this imaginary friend?" he asked smiling at me from his seat.
i let out a small laugh at his comment as the train rode down the tracks to its destination.
.... this was the beginning of a beautiful friendship!
