The night drew on, Hayami found herself wandering the gardens her gaze fixed on the sky, slowly it fell to the guard quarters. A white-haired guard stood with a smile plastered on his face, as a maid she'd grown so familiar to was chatting with him. She stepped closer to them until the guard noticed her, he smiled and began waving, Fuyumi turned to look at who was coming her way and smiled too. "Sorry, I was walking around the garden and felt lonely watching you too have fun"

"His Highness busy?" She shot Fuyumi a glare, and she smiled at me even wider

"I heard you sent him up to bathe with me" she placed a hand on her chin playing dumb to Hayami's words. "Oh, you're the princess that his Highness is going to marry?" Hayami moved her gaze away slight blush burning her cheeks. Fuyumi observed the girl, her cheeks pink "Oh, did something happen today?" She teased poking her cheeks "Fuyumi, you've gotten way to comfortable with the princess" the guard quickly but in. "You didn't hear? Hayami's the one who lifted the rule of not conversing with the higher ups Natsuo" Hayami smiled awkwardly. I mean it wasn't fully her who changed the rule, Dabi had to pass it before anything else. "I'm just happy he's finally budging off of dad's rules" Suddenly Fuyumi jabbed him hard in his ribs. He fell forward slightly, and Fuyumi quickly laughed "Aha, I told you you're not always ready" Hayami watched in confusion. Suddenly Natsuo jumped up and began to play fight with the woman, Hayami's eyes widened but then she giggled watching the display.

She wasn't the only one watching the display, Dabi was walking back to his room when, the moon shone high in the sky, reflecting its glow from someone's fluffy white hair. Hayami's fluffy white hair. Shoto was stood next to him talking, when Dabi ignored him, and began to take off down the corridor. He had no idea why his feet were moving at this pace, but none the less he was running to the garden to see her.

Hayami was still laughing at the show "God you two are just like the workers in my kingdom" The pair stopped fighting to gaze at her, one thing Hayami had picked up on was that everyone in this kingdom was amazed at how other kingdoms worked. "My head guard is brother to one of my favourite servants, and they play fight like this all the time" Hayami chuckled, but the two stood before her was frozen still. "Brother" Natsuo squeaked

"Sister" Fuyumi awkwardly replied, slowly moving their gazes together. The pair then laughed forcefully "Could you imagine that" Fuyumi quickly jested

"I know, how weird would it be, having your brother and sister being your workers, because you're all illegitimate" Fuyumi quickly jabbed him again and Natsuo covered his mouth. They both slowly turned their gaze to the princess, her eyes wide and curious before she began laughing. "That would make quite a story" she joked, and the pair sighed. Suddenly the knight straightened his back, as footsteps could be heard approaching them. "I hope you're not keeping my fiancé up late" a voice boomed behind Hayami, she turned looking up at Dabi. His face was so close that she quickly looked away, "No it was my fault, I was on a walk and made them talk to me" Fuyumi and Natsuo exchanged glances as they wagged their brows. "What ridiculous faces you two are pulling" They quickly snapped out of it, resuming their normal positions. "You have a ball to attend to tomorrow, I don't want you staying up late" Hayami nodded, she turned her gaze to look at the pair "One of you should write that book, it sounds quite amusing" Fuyumi quickly spoke over her "Come on now, Princess!" She squeaked leading her away "We should listen to your husband"

"He's not my husband!" Hayami quickly cried out, and Fuyumi shot a glance back to the boys left behind. They stood watching the pair step away, Dabi's face was cold but his eyes were warm, and Natsuo had a giant smile on his face.

"Touya" The man with a scared face turned to that name, staring up at the head guard. "Are you going to tell her?" Natsuo paused, his expression lacking emotion, "About us?" the king turned his gaze back to the woman stepping away. He didn't reply, but his hands moved up to touch his lips. "What would I need to leave?" he muttered, before turning and walking away. Natsuo watched him leave, scrunching his fists, he turned away "That dumb father ruins everything for us" He grumbled in his step.

Fuyumi had walked Hayami back to her room and left her alone in it. She fell onto her bed huffing out a loud sigh, and her gaze slowly fell to the curtain separating their rooms. She stared at it for quite some time before suddenly, it opened. Dabi stared down upon the small woman in bed, "I knew it" he mumbled she sat up quickly avoiding his gaze. "How am I meant to sleep when I can feel your gaze on me" Hayami scrunched her fists in her lap, he sighed "How are you meant to sleep when your eyes are wide open" he sat next to her. Dipping the bed, she fell slightly, the side of her body rested on his. "I'm sorry" She muttered "I was just thinking"

"About?" he pried, she didn't respond "Are fiancé's meant to keep secrets?"

"Yes!" Hayami quickly lied, Dabi moved his gaze to hers, his eyes flashed a knowing gaze and she avoided staring into them. "No..." She quickly crumbled, her gaze fell on the ground and her head fell onto his shoulder. He tensed initially before taking some time to relax, her hair tickled the back of his neck whenever she breathed softly. "I was just thinking" she spoke softly, her gaze still on the ground. "I was thinking too" he muttered and looked down at the girl using him as a rest. "I was thinking that maybe you're not the only person who has to leave something, maybe I am too"

"So, you believe my fairy tales" she quickly teased sitting up, he looked down at the girl in front of him. Turning his full attention to her "Why shouldn't I? You're my fairy tale" Her cheeks flushed, and she quickly looked away

"You don't know anything about me"

"You don't know anything about me, yet you still kissed me" Hayami's eyes widened, and she looked away the blush quickly creeping up to her ears. "You can't sleep obviously" Dabi noticed staring at the girl plainly, he moved to sit on her bed his back resting on her headboard. "Why don't we spend this time not sleeping, getting to know each other" Hayami looked over at him, then slowly moved to crawl up to sit next to him. "So, what do you like?"

"Me?" Dabi didn't answer, he just stared down at the woman "I like, gardening, my kingdom, and" She paused trying to think "Reading is fun, unless it's reading to study" She paused and then shrugged "That's all I can think of"

"You don't like me?"

"I- I thought we were only talking about hobbies and foods and stuff" Dabi smiled gently at the woman and she crumbled to sit back down again. Pouting. "So, what do you like?" She grumbled, and he looked at the woman lying in bed next to him. She moved her gaze up "I'm not an answer!" She squealed pulling her quilt round to cover her. He chuckled "My kingdom, justice, hard workers, sweet food"

"Sweet food?" The princess questioned her gaze mingling with his, he nodded his head "You don't look like you'd like sweet food" he blinked at her words, looking away "You think I'm this monster that eats raw meat?" he questioned, quickly she shook her head. "Is it because of my scar? Do I look like a monster?" Hayami quickly shot up, shouting over his teasing words, grabbing his arms to get him to listen. The pair stopped messing around before their gazes met, a smile graced her face, and she began to laugh, letting go of his hands. She shoved her face in his chest as she continued laughing, he stared down at the girl his face showed emotion, but he wasn't laughing with her. "You're a massive tease" she chirped finally sitting up, rolling over she laid next to him again using him as a pillow. He stared down at her, observing her almost. "Do you like touching me?" He questioned, her cheeks flushed, and she quickly moved back. "That's improper to ask!"

"I like teasing you" he cut in, and she stopped her scolding to stare at him "So I wondered if you liked touching me, because you do it a lot" Hayami's eyes moved away "Although when you finally realise you are, you let go, so maybe your subconscious likes touching me"
