Kory was sitting by Connor's side, they had just healed him with her and Rachel's powers, thanks to some doctor that had shown up following after Connor.
To know that the boy was part Superman, and part Lex Luthor, made everyone a little uneasy. They didn't know whether they would be getting the paragon of good, or the evil supervillain, and that made Connor dangerous.
Kory didn't know much about Superman or Lex Luthor, so she didn't mind being the one who looked after the boy. To her, she knew he was part Kryptonian, and they were all supposed to be long extinct.
Kory was delighted to find her phone ringing, it would give her a momentary break from watching over the sleeping boy.
"Yeah?" Kory asked whoever was on the other end of the call.
"Kory?" Ellie asked the woman, Kory was the only one Ellie knew would be alone.
"Ellie?" Kory asked, the two hadn't really spoken, something about Kory's former relationship with Dick made it a little awkward.
"Are you alone?" Ellie asked the woman.
Kory took a slow look around the room. "Ellie, what the fuck is going on?" Kory asked the woman. It seemed very odd that Ellie wanted to know if Kory was alone.
"Listen, I need you do something for me, I need you to get to Gar and Rachel, lock yourselves in the computer room, and ask Gar to activate the Fortress Protocol on the Batcomputer" Ellie tells Kory. She and Dick had found pictures taken from inside the apartment, laid out by Deathstroke for them to find.
Kory looked up, she knew that something must be off. "Thanks for calling Elizabeth, I'll get all of the ingredients together for that recipe. Am I missing any of the kitchen equipment?" Kory asked Ellie in code, she had a feeling that they were being watched.
"Rose" Ellie spoke simply.
"Got it. And how long will the cake take to cook?" Kory asked.
"Me and Dick are ten minutes out" Ellie tells Kory.
Kory hung up the phonecall. Kory spotted that Gar was already in the computer room, searching for Deathstroke. Then Kory spotted Rachel storming out of her room with a picture of crucifixes drawn on.
Kory grabbed the girl and guided back to the computer room. "Ow, Kory, what...?" Rachel tried to swat Kory's hand off the back of her jacket.
