Nightwing slowly rises up from the ground of the plaza, facing his mindless puppet of a fiancé who is intent on killing him, and she can't help herself because she's completely under Crane's control, and is under the influence of the Demon.
Ellie walks past Jason, who is still twitching slightly from the high voltage attack that Dick inflicted on him.
"Ellie? Stop" Dick pleads with Ellie. He puts one hand up to stop her from approaching him. He doesn't want to fight Ellie, and Ellie can't stop herself from trying to kill him.
Ellie takes two daggers from the inside of her jacket, the metal of the blade crackles with the same fear energy as Crane's scythe.
Ellie's mind has been trained by Crane, to see her enemies in the place of her loved ones. When Ellie killed Isabella, she was seeing Falcone. And now Ellie sees Roman Sionis lying before her.
"I'm going to find Dick, and I'm going to kill him, you know that I've always wanted to kill him" Ellie's sees Roman spitting blood out of his mouth, and smirking at the idea of killing Dick.
"Now, Roman, I'm going to stop you before you get anywhere near Dick" Ellie warns Roman. And Dick knows that he's not going to get through to her mind, not if she's seeing her loser ex-boyfriend.
Nightwing readies himself to defend himself against Ellie, hoping he can reach her before she kills him, and that he can hold out long enough to free her mind.
Nightwing takes out his escrima sticks. "I know that you're in there...and I know that you love me and don't want to hurt me" Nightwing tries to reason with Ellie, as she slowly strolls over to him.
"You're going to have to stop me Ellie, or I'll torture your sister again" Roman grins to Ellie.
Ellie lunges forward and expertly strikes out with her daggers, and Nightwing blocks the blades with his escrima sticks.
Ellie slides the blades along the escrima sticks and the conflicting energies crackle against each other.
Ellie sweeps her foot around and kicks Nightwing in the back of his leg, and he falls to his knee. Ellie spins and leaves a large slice running through Nightwing's bicep.
Nightwing screams out in pain.
Ellie knees Nightwing in the face and causes him to fall flat on his back.
