Barbara cleared the scene once she knew that there was no threat, somehow convincing her officers that the Titans should be the ones to deal with this situation. The GCPD wouldn't have had the first clue as to how to handle a inter dimensional portal. The Titans and Batfamily barely knew how they worked.
And the jury was still out on the three women that had come through the portal.
Ryan Wilder, a black woman who claimed to be Batwoman. And that Batman was no longer a thing in their world. And that Ryan was in fact the second Batwoman, after Kate Kane, whom Ellie knew as her cousin who was an Airforce Major in this Earth.
Sophie Moore, who also served in the Airforce, but who used to be a part of a private policing task force that had run Gotham in their Earth.
And Alice. Who basically seemed batshit crazy. And constantly quoted lines from Alice In Wonderland.
Ellie and the others had allowed the other Batfamily to see the Batcave in the Clocktower, it was a secondary base for them these days, and Ellie wasn't prepared to show them the Batcave at Wayne Manor.
Ellie had listened to the story from Ryan and her team, and it was a little strange.
"Okay?" Ellie nodded. "Run that all by me again?" Ellie asks the three women.
"Okay" Alice took a dramatic step forward. She moved her hands around delicately to enunciate her words with a little cadence. "So a monster with two faces turned poor little Katie from the White Queen in the Knight of Hearts, the poor Katie turned against her court" Alice waved her hands to motion at Ryan and Sophie. "Then all of the Queen's horses and all the Queen's men couldn't find her vault of sadistic bat trophies again" Alice rolled off her tongue with ease.
Ryan yanks Alice back. "Quiet" Ryan hissed at Alice. "Alice is our resident psychopath. Don't listen to her" Ryan informs the Batfamily.
"Couldn't if I wanted to" Kory tells them honestly. It might have been Kory not knowing about Alice in Wonderland, it might have been Alice mixing metaphors, but something was definitely lost in translate.
Gar slowly raised his hand. "I kind of followed it" Gar says quietly, then goes back to being quiet.
Ellie frowned in confusion at Gar for a second, before she looked back to Ryan and her team.
"So, a canister of Joker gas went missing from your Earth?" Ellie questions Ryan.
