Rachel had turned Gar back to normal, he was no longer out trying to eat everyone or kill Superboy. But turning Superboy back was going to be a lot harder, since no one had a relationship with Connor. Gar had been able to shake off the mind control because Rachel had reminded him of his friendship.
Connor was striding through the carnival. Cadmus Labs had given him the rage, but they were no longer in control of Connor, but Connor wasn't in control of his body either.
Connor kicked aside a van which skidding to a stop just before crashing into a group of civilians.
Connor spotted them, and he was going to harm them, a glowing golden lasso looped around Connor's body. Donna pulled with all of her strength, it was enough to give Connor pause about harmed the innocents.
Isabella jumped on Connor's back and put a baton across his throat and pulling back with all of her weight. Not that it did much good because Connor was too strong.
Dick and Rachel came running out. "Rachel, now!" Dick shouted to the witch.
Rachel summoned a cloud of dark magic and connected it with Connor. His mind was powerful and she had to use a lot of magic to peer inside his mind. But she still breached his mental defences.
"Hurry" Isabella shouted, she could feel Connor struggling against her. Donna was slowly sliding forward as well.
"This guy is really strong" Rachel gasps, she had never encountered such a powerful mind before. "It's all you now" Rachel tells Dick.
Rachel holds up her other hand, and Dick took it, his mind breaching into Connor's.
Dick was in a dark room. He could hear the shouting on the outside world echoing inside the dark room, the worry in his team's voices.
"Connor?" Dick spoke out into the darkness.
Dick spotted a boy sobbing in the corner of the dark room. Connor. He was terrified of being left inside the darkness all alone, scared that he was hurting people and there was nothing he could do about it.
"I don't know what they're doing to you" Dick confessed. Cadmus Labs was serious shit, they worked for Lex Luthor. "But you're going to be okay. You're not alone anymore" Dick promised Connor. The Titans were a family for anyone who wanted them.
The sound of Mercy Grave's voice was still echoing around Connor's mind. "Her voice" Connor stutters. The voice that was making him do all of the evil things. "She tells me what to do" Connor tells Dick. Psychological reprogramming, Connor could only respond to Mercy Grave's voice. "I can't make it stop" Connor tells Dick.
