"WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU" Nat yells hitting my arm
"OW I SAVED YOUR LIFE PLUS I AM INJURED SO BE GENTLE" I yell back. Clint just glares at me while everyone else laughs at us.
"NO YOU NEARLY DIED AGAIN" She yells again pushing me. Tony who had walked away from me joins in with laughing
"Well I am sorry OK?" I say softer making Nat calm down a bit
"No not ok definitely not ok" Clint says pulling me in for a hug and making me wince in pain
"I am glad your back Clint" I say hugging back despite my pain. He chuckles
"yeah I leave and you die so note to self don't leave" he says making me laugh
"for the record I was perfectly fine, if the suit just hadn't turned off I would have been fine. Also can you uh let go your kind of hurting me" I defend. Tony just looks offended
"well if you told me you were going for a suicide run in MY suit I would have given you the most upgraded one that probably would have worked better" he says. I look at him dumbfounded.
"um has anyone seen my phone?" I ask they shake their head
"I think Coulson had it last" Nat said
"ok uh Nat could I borrow your phone so I can make a call?" she hands me her phone and I call Jacob
"The person you are trying to call is unavailable please leave a message"
Nat gives me a sympathetic smile. I laugh as the beep goes
"hey Jacob not sure if you watched what happened on tv, or even know what happened back in SHIELD but I am ok, alive uh call me back when you get the chan-" I look out the window and see him around all of the cop cars with a female officer.
I hang up the phone and call again, I watch as he declined my call again.
"is that Jacob?" Tony points out the window
"yeah that is him" we watch as he picks up the blonde and spins her around. I turn away from the window, and look at the avengers in front of me, making me smile
"are you ok?" Tony asks still beside me
"yeah why would I not be" I say walking away and toward Nat and Clint I go to hand the phone back but her phone starts ringing
"Nat here is your phone" I say trying to get out of answering the phone call
"Nope you answer it its Fury he will want to speak with you" she moves away. I sigh and take a seat, answering the call
"I should have you fired" he says
"Nice to hear your voice Director" I say sarcastically
"what you did was incredibly stupid-"
"I know I know, please tell me this when I get to HQ" I interrupt him, knowing he hates it when I do that
"- but I am very proud of you. Y/n" he finishes making me surprised. I rarely hear that.
"what did you say?" I question still not believing it
"you heard me agent. Just please come to base in one piece" he says ending the call. I smile walking over to Nat and Clint
"How did that go N/n (nick name)" Clint asks. I shrug and give Nat her phone
"he said good job" Nat looks at me unimpressed
"we mean Jacob Y/n" Nat says, Tony coughs walking next to me, I give him an eyeroll
"uh he said see you soon, I am just on my way to go see him" I say walking away and toward the elevator. Clint and Nat share a look. Tony says something. While I wait for the elevator to close.
it closes and takes me down to the lobby where I walk out of the tower and toward the cop cars and Jacob
"Excuse me Ma'am you can't be here" an officer says to me causing Jacob to look my way and his eyes widen walking away from blonde and toward me
"y/n?" I thought you were unconscious" he says I smile
"yeah I was but if you answered your phone you would know that" I say he smiles and pulls me in for a hug
"y/n I thought you were dead, I am so glad you're alive" he says
"who is she?" I ask he turns and smiles and gestures the Blonde over
"this is my best friend Olivia" he says the blonde looks at Jacob confused before she looks me up and down. I smile
"Olivia this is my girlfriend y/n" he keep adding emphasis to the word best friend and girlfriend. I honestly don't care right now I am so exhausted and just want to celebrate the victory with my new friends. And I want to see Maria
"nice to meet you Olivia" I say she just gives me a blank stare
"right well I saw you from the Tower so I thought I would talk to you, but I have to go and get back to them, I will see you at home yeah?" I ask looking at both of them. Jacob nods
"yeah sorry Olivia has no where to stay so she will be with us for a while" I nod
"Also do you want to go out for dinner tonight? celebrate your win?" he asks I nod, he smiles and hugs me spinning me around like he did with Olivia. I brush the thoughts out of my head.
"I love you Y/n" he says putting me down, I smile he kisses my cheek
"I love you too bye" I walk back toward the tower feeling happier, if he was cheating on me he wouldn't act like that right?
