"How are you this afternoon, Ms Hill?" Jarvis asks,

"Oh you know, found out I'm going to space soon, so that- that's going to be fun," I say with no emphasis as I walk through the room until I reach the lounge where I stop eyes widening as a mop of dirty blonde hair sits propped up on the couch.

"Harley?" I question entering the room and making my presence known to not only the boy but also to the Billionaire sitting next to him, showing him a holographic display of something I can't be bothered to find out.

"Y/n!" Harley yells as he jumps to his feet and races toward me, on instinct I want to run and flinch away from contact but somehow I find myself planted on the floor as he wraps his arms around my waist and hugs my lower body. I look down at him in shock but can't help the smile that creeps up on my face.

Looking up I look over at Tony who smiles back at me, as he stands pocketing his phone and walking toward us.

"What- What are you doing here?" I ask Harley as he pulls away. He looks to Tony before looking back at me.

"Tony said you've been sad, So I am here to boost morale," He says swinging his arm triumphantly. I look up to Tony unbelieving, he avoids my gaze shifting his weight from one foot to the next

"Stark is right," I say making Tony look at me. "I have been sad, but now I feel slightly better with you here," I say making him pout "Slightly?" he questions I chuckle, feeling his presence making a weight lift from my chest.

"Come on let's get some ice cream and that will boost my morale," I say adding emphasis, his face lights up and he walks away o the kitchen which someone how he has already memorized.

After he leaves my face falls into a numb expression which also allows my body to slump not having to force the energy and mask the exhaustion anymore.

"Don't worry, the kid is only going to be here for a couple of days before he has to go back home to go to school" Tony says, his chin resting on one of his hands as he looks in the direction, where Harley ran off.

I purse my lips a sigh escaping as I tug the sleeves of my jacket over my hands, fearing my numbness would consume me, as it continues to creep into the back of my mind.

"Y/n?" Tony asks, making me look to him, humming in response having been drawn out of my thoughts by his voice.

When making eye contact with him again, I realize he is now standing much closer, this time right in front of me, his hands seemingly reaching out for me but he clasps them together and returns them to his side.

"Thank you, Tony," I say forcing a smile, brushing the pieces of hair behind my ear that cover my eyes.

He smiles "Not Stark?" he questions, and I chuckle shaking my head, I look at him playful glint in my eyes "Don't push it," I say, he nods, before letting out a sigh of his own.

Before he reaches for my hand gentle, careful not to startle me, when I feel his hand, I flick my eyes down feeling my fingers crack and flinch at the contact. He goes to withdraw his hand, and I chase him intertwining my hand with his making him smile and look at me.

"I'm here for you Y/n," he says softly looking into my eyes, watching for my reaction. "Always" he continues. I feel my stomach erupt with butterflies, making me furrow my brows at the unfamiliar feeling or feeling that I haven't felt in a long time.

"Tony I-"

"Y/N!" I hear Harley yelp, making us separate with flush cheeks, I pull my hand from Tony's and walk quickly to the kitchen where I see Nat holding the tub of ice cream out of reach of Harley, glaring down at him. As Clint sits on the bench defensive and amused.
