Thor POV:

Frigga's funeral ceremony is set for later tonight, I.. I can't believe she is gone. I can't believe Y/n's gone...

When I arrived I was so worried about my mother, I didn't even think to check on Y/n, or check if she was ok. Until Jane screamed saying she had no pulse. Father had turned to me and I felt guilt consume me. I brought her here to help my brother, and she gets killed protecting my mother and Jane.

I moved Y/n's, body into her room, where I am now. Her body felt light, as it crumbled and flopped on the mattress of the bed. I take a seat on the chair next to the bed, covering my face with my hands. How do I tell her family, friends.

I look up at her body, tears clouding my vision, although I would never admit it. The loss of my mother and my mortal friend crushed me. I then hear bones cracking? her body sizzling and the room is filled with the smell of burning flesh. I stand gripping mjolnir ready to fight whatever is coming, I then hear crying and gasping. I turn to Y/n's body which has now turned a faint orange colour, and the material of the bedding underneath her burns and rips.

"Y/n?" I ask curious walking to her side, I go to touch her harm, but retract it instantly. Her skinning is boiling to touch. All of the wounds and cuts on her body then turn bright orange before disappearing, each time causes her body to rumble with tears.

"Y/n!" I say more exasperated. She jolts panting sitting up. I look at her eyes widened, I never knew mortals could heal themselves, or come back from the dead. She looks to me panicked and with tears burning her cheeks.

"Thor? Wha- where- how?" She splutters moving her hands down to her ribs then to her shoulder.

"How are you alive?" I ask not hiding my shock, she jumps from the bed, but when the back of her dress is missing, scorch marks tinging the fabric, I turn around embarrassed.

"Y/n, your dress, the back is missing" I say. I keep my back turned to her as I hear her curse and unzip her suit case, fabric falls to the ground and I hear her getting dressed.

"Ok you can turn back around" she says, embarrassed, and out of breath still recovering from what just happened.

"So what just happened?" I ask, she takes a moment, opening and closing her mouth as if working out what to say, then her eyes widens and she hugs me.

"I'm so sorry. I tried - Frigg- I tried to save her but" She gasps, crying into my shoulder, I wrap my arms around her and pat her back awkwardly.

"Its ok, you died- did die trying to protect her" I say, still unsure of how she is alive. She then pulls away and starts pacing mumbling to herself.

"What was that thing?" She asks stopping and looking up at me, I go to answer but a knock comes from the door, Eliza walks in, with new sheets and drops them when she sees Y/n walking around.

"Ms Hill? You're alive?" She exclaims. Y/n turns to her then nods continuing to pace around the room.

"Well Prince Thor, I am here to inform you, the ceremony is about to begin and Jane is asking for you" Eliza says picking the sheets up and leaving the room. I turn to see Y/n, already looking at me sadly.

"Come with me, I am sure father would be glad to see you are ok also Jane would be happy to see you" I say smiling softly. She nods

"I will join you in a minute you go ahead, I will be with you shortly" She says before walking out of the room and taking a right, I nod and leave the room taking a left toward the ceremony..

Y/n POV:

I am alive

I am alive, I repeat trying to keep my body calm, the fear of Extremis consuming me is almost screaming at me. My body trembles, the amount of energy and healing my body has undergoes leaving me more vulnerable to loose control. I walk through the hallways until I reach the room. I stop in the doorway, almost as if an invisible barrier was restricting me from entering. Ignoring the blood stains on the marble flooring where my body laid, I take a deep breath and hastily walk over through the room and toward the table in the corner, with the potion sitting dangerously close to the edge of the table. Grasping the glass bottle I stare at the orange solution, seeing my reflection in the liquid I hesitantly pop the top off and go to drink, however out of the corner of my eye I see a faint light drifting away on the sea, floating toward the edge of the planet. I shift and move toward the balcony, propping myself against the edge and dangling my feet over the side. Resting the drink in my lap as I watch the Frigga's body drift away in a small boat, the surrounding area dotted with lights and lanterns held by Asgardians.

An archer then shoots a fire arrow toward the vessel setting it alight, and everyone watches as the now burning vessel ahead, more and more smaller boats join the Queen's marking the deaths of all those we lost during the invasion. When the boat floats off the edge, her spirit continues to rise into the night sky above, while her physical body and the boat itself falls. Feeling tears prick my skin I turn away and press the drink to lip and allow the cool liquid to enter my body.

A tear rolls down my cheek as I look back out of the balcony and see bright orbs flying in the sky, I close my eyes as I feel my body cool and relax. I no longer feel like I have to control myself, my posture relax and I feel as though I can't hold myself up any longer. Not trusting myself I climb down lazily from the edge and lay down on the floor.

I close my eyes and allow the marble floor beneath me, to centre myself. Bringing a cool, cold comfort to my body as it adjusts and balances out.

"Get up"

I blink, eyes opening as I hear a females voice ring in my ears. But feeling my body too tired I stay down on the floor, watching the stars as they light up the night sky.

"Get up"  I hear the same women's voice ring out in my head. I swat the voice away and stand up, moving back inside the room walking quickly to my room, where I fall asleep.
