Chapter 41

Josie pov

2 months later.

Everything has been going good over the past month or 2.

Hunter and I relationship has grown to be amazing. He turns 5 months tomorrow and me and Hope is going to give him a small gathering, we are having it at the Salvatore school, since hunter is old enough to travel now. But we still are going in the car which will take 5 hours.

I ask Hope how she's holding up, she says she's fine but I know she is struggling, she has to deal with being a vampire and not killing our son in the process.

"Hey bunny" Hope said before planting a kiss on my cheek.

"Hey babe" I said
"Babe? Why are you so happy?" She asked
"Just cause I call you babe doesn't mean I'm in a happier mood, I just think that maybe I should start calling you cute names since you call me bunny" I said

"Oh, well hunter and I got his things ready and we will be in the car shortly" she said
"Okay, I'm going to head in there now" I said

I grabbed my coffee and headed to the car to start it.

Soon I seen Hope come out struggling with the car seat and bags.

I got out the car and took the car seat.

"I had it bunny" she said
"You are cute and all but I don't want you drop hunter" I said
"That would be the last thing I drop. Not that hunters a thing" she said
"Just get in" I said

She then strapped hunter up in his car seat.

"Let's get going shall we?" I asked
"We shall" she said with a smile before pecking me on the lips. I'm kind of sad it was just a peck.

Hope POV

I have been doing my best with hunter and Josie. Here and there I just get the urge to drain hunter blood out of his body and I want to kill myself for that. I decided to have a vampires control session with Caroline and my aunt Rebekah.

I also have finally found the courage to ask Josie to marry me.

I got the ring and everything.

I know it's supposed to be hunters day but I want to make it more special and propose to the love of my life.

6 hours- 37 stops- 156 hunter tantrum's and 7 throw ups later.

"We are here love" I said
"Love?" She asked
"I mean bunny" I said
"More better" she said before kissing me.

"You got to stop doing that before there is another hunter" I joked knowing damn well that's not possible
"What if I wanted another hunter?" She said with a smile

Did she really want another child?

I didn't say anything.
"I'm just joking" she says
"I'll grab hunter and you could meet us inside?" I asked
"Perfect with me" she says

She grabbed the bags and went inside.

"Hey mr. Sweetface! Ready to see grandpa?" I said

He started laughing.

He just started laughing and having extra energy this week, his laugh is the cutest thing ever.

I walked into the school and mg and Lizzie was already waiting for me.

"Hey mr.cuddles" Mg said
Hunter just laughed.

"When did he start laughing?" Lizzie asked
"Well he just started. It's something new" I said

"Oh, well I'm glad you guys finally brought him down here" Lizzie said

"I'm not, he have to much energy, and he wouldn't sleep the whole ride" I said

"Sucks for you. Now he gets to have some fun with auntie Lizzie" she says
"Actually, Lizzie I need to talk to you" I said

"Okay sure." She says
"I'll take him" Mg says before taking him and walking off

"What's up?" She asked
"Well, I'm going to pop the question" I said
"Wait for real?" Lizzie asked
"Yup!" I said
"That's good for you! Do you think she's going to say yes?" She asked
"Hopefully" I said
"So when are you going to do it?" She asked
"Now actually." I said
"Now?" She asked
"I want to do it here because this is where we grew up." I said
"Good luck" she said

I then called everyone to the main stairs.

"Hey hope what is it?" Dr s said
"I have an announcement to make!" I said

I searched the room for Josie and I made eye contact with her.

"So when I was younger my mom would tell me stories about a man and a women falling in love. I would always think it was how life works. Growing up I realized that there is more to life then just a man and a women." I say

"Hope what are you saying?" Mg asked
"Let me finish" I said still not losing eye contact with Josie

"I think a lot of people don't understand what real love or romance is ... some thinks it's all flowers, candy and jewelry, but there is no love with just gifts. Love is something way more than that. The true romantic things in life are those little things everyday. It's your smile that brightens every room you walk into and it's your laughter that could turn a terrible situation into something way better. I can't guarantee there won't be hard times because trust me we have faced so many already but I can promise you always and forever, I know that might not mean any thing to you but that is a family promise that has been in the family for 1000s of years" I say

At this point I was tearing up and so was Josie.

"I love you bunny, hell I'm in love with you. I made some terrible mistakes. I shouldn't have left you in the first place. But if I change that part in the past that could result to a different future for us and I don't regret a second that I've spent with you and hunter. What I'm trying to say is my aunt asked me 'what makes you happy? And what ever it is I will buy it for you' the funny thing is the only thing that makes me happy is hunter and you. So josette Olivia saltzman will you marry me?" I said

Lizzie was recording the whole thing on tears and so was Dr. S. Hunter seemed to had liked it. He was in my arms smiling.

I was on one knee with the ring o had brought months ago.

"So will you?" I asked
"Hope..." she starts off

"Josie you better not say no" Lizzie says
"Even though I hate you calling me josette I love you too hopey. And yes I will marry you" she said

Did I hear that right? She said yes? I frozed for a minute.

"Psst. Hope get your ass up!" Lizzie said
"Oh right sorry" I said before placing the ring on Josie finger.
