Chapter 38

Josie pov

3 days later.

Hope still hasn't woken up and I don't know why. 

I didn't get much sleep in the last 3 days.

"Hey mr. Sweetface" I said as I walked over to hunter

He wouldn't go to sleep no matter how hard I tried.

I wanted to scream. I wanted to scream at myself for being a terrible mother. I just wanted hope to wake up. I know hunter misses her a lot.

He wouldn't stop crying and if he did it was because he was eating.

I was drained.

Hope POV

I was in this darkness and there was nothing around me but trees.

"Hello?" I called out

Nothing. I know where I am. I also know that I need to get back.

But how?

I walked for what felt like days but it seemed to be like a maze.

Josie POV

Knock knock

Someone was at the door so I went to open it.

"Hey Josie, where's hunter?" Freya said before walking in

"He's crying and I don't know if I can take this any more freya. I need to bring Hope back. What ever I need to do! Tell me" I said
"Well there is one thing but I wouldn't advise you to do it" she says

"What is it?" I asked
"You have to test hunters magic" she said
"What? No. He's just a baby" I said
"It's either that or you have to wait for her to wake up" freya said

"If I do this, how will it work? Will our son be safe?" I asked
"He will be safe, but after his magic is restored he will be accessed to his unlimited power, meaning with one sneeze he can blow the whole house down." She says

"And how do we get rid of his power after?" I asked
"Well, You and Lizzie will have to divide his power, meaning you siphon it from him." Freya says
"Okay, I'll do it. As long as he's not hurt" I said

"This is a lot of magic Josie" Freya says
"I could handle it. As long as Hope is safe and hunter. I just need to get Lizzie on board." I said
"Isn't Lizzie still in town?" She asked
"Yeah, she feels guilty for killing someone so she promised to help clean up the blood shed. And when I tell you it's a lot of blood. I mean it" I said

"You call Lizzie and I will get my candles and everything so I could do the spell on hunter. This may take longer than expected so don't get worried at all" Freya says

I hear hunter starts to cry from upstairs.

"Don't worry about him. I got him, you just go find Lizzie so we can do this spell, hunter will start getting fussy and angry when he feels the magic be regained in himself. I need as much time as I can get so hurry back please" Freya said
