"Did Sam explain everything?" I asked Tango once we reached the beach. I knew I had to tell him on my own because of how angry he got just during that little moment.

"Yeah. I just can't believe it the legends are all true. I didn't even think about any of them, I was just confused. But I meant what I said about Paul."

"Look, I know your trying to protect me because I never really dated, because it's a brotherly instinct, and for what he's done, But he won't hurt me. Did Sam tell you about imprinting?"

"No, what is it?"

"Imprinting. It's nothing like love at first sight, really. It's more, it's like, like... gravity moves. When you see him, suddenly it's not the earth holding you here anymore. He does. And nothing matters more than him. And you become whatever he needs you to be. Whether that's a protector, a lover, a friend, or a sister. Obviously you would imprint on a female and not on a guy."

"Why did you sound so...serious? I mean, you spoke like if you've imp... You imprinted, didn't you?"

"Yeah...Yeah, it sounds crazy. Sam didn't think it would be the same for us as it is for male, but since it happened, it's possible."

"Is this why you left?"

"Yes and no. There's what Sam and the guys told you, but there's another important reason. The only reason, Sam hasn't said anything it's not his secret to tell, but he wants me to."

I then realized what I had said, so I quickly changed the subject to any other thing.

"You know Paul tried messing me with back then was because I was the only person that stood up to him? We're both alike, why do you think I phased way before any of them? I was the one with filled with anger."

"That makes sense." He said jokingly once we were outside Sam's house. "Wait, your defending him. Tell me you didn't. Not on him"

"Yes, but it's nothing more than friends. We're just friends. I'm really not interested in the whole wolf world. Let alone letting the imprint tell me who I have to be with.

I then went back inside and took a seat on the floor next to Leah. She then quickly filled me in on the bonfire we will be having tomorrow night.

"Lillian, Outside now!" Sam was now walking out the front door. "It's time tomorrow. Billy and the council said either you tell them or they will. But they also want to speak to you, Jake and me alone before anything is said."

"Fine, they can do it." I was already really annoyed with this whole thing, so I walked away heading home.

"You're patrolling in the morning with Tango instead of night." He called out which I was thankful for. I would at least get sleep.
