Catastrophe

"Okay, everything's packed and Before you go crazy, Emmet went to drop off Hunter at the airport, so all you have to do is go straight through security."

"Thank you Alice, for everything you and your family has done for us. It means a lot..."

"Lillian. Your family, you'll always be." Esme said walking into the room giving me a smile and a hug. "Always and forever."

"Always and forever." I repeated.

I knew deep down it would come down to it. Eventually i would lose Paul of old age and i would have to leave when people start to notice that I'm not aging.

I smiled picking up my backpack and soph's backpack. "Ready pipsqueak?"

Once Carlisle dropped the two of us off at the airport, Hunter was already waiting for us at the plane's entrance.

"So, I don't know if you noticed, but, how are we going to get home from Seattle?" Hunter asked as we exited the airport.

"Well, it's still a tribe secret, which means you can't phase in front of her. so, you can run off into the woods going north, while I go northeast? I really doubt she'll notice if I carry her with her face pressed against my neck."

"I don't know, being apart from her doesn't feel right."

"She'll be safe. I promise." I assured him as I threw on her backpack and then had Soph but her jacket on before carrying her.

"Hunter go. I promise she'll be safe. I won't let anything happen. Besides, you still have to learn control."

"Be careful."

As I ran as fast as i could, holding Pipsqueak against me tightly, it was already dark. Past 9 to be exact, but that wasn't the reason why i was now worried. It was the scent and it was near.

I couldn't tell if it was following me or if was just in the area, but i don't want to find out the truth because it's the same scent from when i was talking to Paul back at the Hamptons.

Now I couldn't go straight home, so I have to try to at least reach Forks first, or even the Cullen's home. I needed to know if it was actually following me, so i ran there incase it went past the border into the reservation.

As soon as I made into the Cullen's home, I pulled out my phone and dialed.

"Paul! You need to get the packs to come to the Cullen's home. Now." With no other words I hung up and got a text.

"I caught the scent of from The Hapmtons. Where are you?" -Hunter

"You need to get to the Cullen's home quickly."

As soon as Sam and Paul walked through through the doors i ran to hug Paul while still holding pipsqueak tightly.

"What's going on?" Sam asked.

"I caught the scent of a vampire. It followed us from the Hamptons, it was on our trail, but then Hunter texted me he found it on his trail as well."

"Well, your Alpha, give your orders." Sam starred at me.

"As soon as Hunter gets here, Leah, Collin, Nina, you two can- are going to stay and do a perimeter run on the reservation to see if it's still around. The rest of you-go south and southeast to Seattle. We'll wait until he gets here. That way there won't be any distraction of scents."

"Alright, let's go." Paul and the guys headed out. It didn't take Hunter long to arrive. So quickly we hopped into Sam's truck.

"Why do you think it followed us?" Hunter asked as soon as we walked through Em's doors, taking Pipsqueak from my arms.
