Everything is going according to plan." Hunter whispered knowing I was listening. So I dismissed the journalist i just spoke to and Valentino' himself.
"How about we do it now? And then we can go back to the Hamptons and stay until Friday...I don't like it here." Hunter suggested since he already had his daughter in his arms.
"Are you sure?"
"Positive." He reassured.
With that, Lillian walked around greeting people with Hunter by her side every once in a while having their picture taken, until they ran into Mia.
"I'd like my daughter back." She spoke angrily. "We need to get going."
"Actually," I cut in. "You're going to give up on Sophie. You're going to let Hunter have full custody, send him all the paperwork by tomorrow morning... You don't want her. So you called us into town and then got rid of her as soon as possible. You will forget that I compelled you."
"Keep my daughter. I don't want her in my life." Mia spoke disgusted and harshly before walking away.
"Thank you." Hunter whispered hugging me with Sophie still in the arms. "This means a lot."
"Hey, look at me. It's no big deal, Mia doesn't deserve a life with her. We're going to make Sophia happy, starting by stealing someone's limo."
"Really?"
"No. The driver left the SUV in a parking garage a few blocks away. Let's go."
"Great." Hunter chuckled walking out of the building together jubilant.
As soon as the Hunter and I got home with Pipsqueak, Rose and Alice were shocked that the we didn't stick with the plan and decided to take Sophie right away.
"What's her name?" Rose asked buoyantly as she walked towards Hunter.
"Sophia." He answered as he still held her in his arms, not wanting to let go. I think He was just afraid to let her go because he's afraid that all of this isn't real. That he will wake up, and it will all be a dream.
"Can I carry her?"
Alice and I looked between the two. We all knew Rose hated the wolves, but Hunter on the other hand didn't see any reason to hate the pale faces.
He just simply agreed with me, and got along easily with them. When he finally nodded and carefully handed the toddler to Rose, I was impressed. Like I said, he doesn't hate them, but a wolf letting a vampire hold their own kid? I honestly expected a no.
"Lillian, how about tomorrow, we do a little shopping, buy her some clothes?"
"Say yes, say yes."Rose whispered as she rocked pipsqueak back and forth.
"I guess we can Alice."
"Paul's going to call you." Alice spoke walking away as she pulled Hunter into another room.
And sure enough, my phone started ringing. So i walked out of the house towards the beach to get some privacy knowing this could end up in a fight because I completely forgot to tell him.
"Paul, I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. I was just so focused on helping Hunter, that I forgot to tell you. And then the day before yesterday when it came up, you had already gone back to work, and when I left for patrol, you were still at work and then when I got off patrol yesterday morning, you were at work already. I'm sorry."
He just chuckled. "Tango told you, didn't he?""Yeah, he did." He answered laughing this time with the ridiculous laugh That gets me all the time. "How are things going?"
"Faultless, but good. We actually already have her here with us."
