-Flashback-
"I'm done, Cody. I can't take it anymore." I grabbed my keys and hoodie, walking out in the snow.
"Eisley, please.. I'm sorry." He tried to grab my arm but I wiggled out of his grip.
"No, Cody. You've hurt me completely. I can't live like this." I wiped my face and got in my car, shutting the door and driving off. I looked in the rear view mirror, seeing Cody just stand there looking back at me.
-2 years later- (2014)
I drove to Starbucks. I walked inside and ordered a Caramel Frappe.
Buzz buzz.
I felt my phone vibrate. I unlocked it to see a message that read: "look behind you.." I slowly turned around. My face lit up. It was Maxx. I haven't seen him in 3 years.
"Hey Eisley!" He said embracing me in a warm hug.
"Hey Maxx! How have you been?" I hugged back.
"I've been good! God, you still look gorgeous. You know, Cody still talks about you.." He said softly. My smile faded.
"But... But why? I mean, we broke up.. Why didn't he move on?" I said confused. I grabbed my coffee and we sat down at a table.
"To be honest with you, he's been a complete mess. He won't show up to band practice, he doesn't get out much. Do you think you could talk to him? At least get him to smile again?" Maxx said. I felt bad for him but at the same time he hurt me. But I also don't want Cody to be this way.
"Sure. I'll... I'll talk to him. Is he at his house?" I asked.
"Yeah, look, I have to go meet up with the guys but go talk to him. He'll feel a lot better once he sees you. Okay?" We stood up and hugged.
"Okay. I will. Drive safe. Love you" We both went separate ways. I got in my car and drove to Cody's place.
-20 minutes later-
I pulled in the driveway. I turned off the car and got out. I still had the key to his house. I unlocked the door and opened it slowly.
His house was a complete mess. I put down my keys and picked up his clothes from the floor. Then I walked up the stairs, slightly opening his bedroom door. "Ba- I mean Cody?" I set his clothes in his basket. "Cody?" This hurt me a little. Seeing him run down and broken. I sat down next to him on the bed. "Cody?" I draped my arm over his stomach. "You are probably asleep but I hope you can here me. It's me, Eisley.. Look, I just want to apologize. I am really sorry. Please, talk to me." I climbed over him and laid in front of him. I noticed he cut his hair and got a piercing. I slowly ran my fingers through his hair. Then, his eyes fluttered open. I missed them. "Eisley?" He instantly sat up. I also sat up. He pulled me into a weird but sweet hug. All of a sudden, a rush of relief flew over me.
"Cody, what is going on with you? Why are being like this?" I asked looking in his eyes.
"I don't know, I just give up on being happy. I lost someone who made me so happy.. And I hate myself for hurting her. Please Eisley, I'm sorry.. I've never been a mess over someone like this.. I regret ever hurting you. You meant the world to me.." He began to cry. I wiped his face and kissed his cheek. I gave a gentle smile.
"You know what would mean the world to me?" I said giggling.
"What?" He grew confused.
"If you took a shower. I'll clean this place up. Just please, clean yourself up.." I playfully punched his arm and got up, walking out of his room and back downstairs.

-1 hour later-
I finally got his house cleaned. His clothes were washed, floors cleaned, kitchen cleaned, an rooms cleaned. Finally, he walked downstairs in his skinny jeans, a black t-shirt, red hoodie and his hair done and his face clean shaven.
"Much better." I walked towards him and hugged him tightly. I didn't want to let go. A part of me misses him, the other part of me is still confused and what it wants.
I think it's been five minutes because I was still hugging him and I was lost in thought.
"Eisley? Eisley." He whispered in my ear. I let go and chuckled nervously. "Sorry. I just, yeah. Much better. You look good." I sat down and looked at the ground.
"I feel better. Well, physically.." He sat down beside me, putting his hand on my knee. I carefully put my hand on his.
"Why do you mean 'physically'?" I asked.
"I mean, like, ugh, never mind. I just confused myself." He said. I smiled and got up, walking into the kitchen. Cody followed behind.
"Do you want tea?" I asked
"Yeah. Let me make it." I jumped up on the counter and waited for him to whip the tea up.
I look at him as he stood in front of me. His hands traveled to my thighs and onto my hips. He placed his right hand on the side of my face and locked lips with mine. Then, I kissed him back, only more passionate.
He took off my hoodie then I did the same to his, sliding my hands up his shirt, taking it off. I jumped down and continued to kiss him roughly.
I caught up with reality. I put y hands in his chest, breathing heavily.
"I can't do this. Not yet. Not now." I grabbed my shirt and hoodie, then gave him his clothes back.
"Yeah, I got it." He let go of me and walked towards the door.
"Wait, Eisley?" I turned around and looked at him.
"Let me prove to you that I still love you, that I won't hurt you anymore, that I won't fuck up again.. Please?" He said solemnly.
"Fine. This is your last chance to show me that you've truly changed and that you still care. We'll talk soon." I hugged him quickly then got in my car and drove home.
