Chapter Twelve: New Rings & Flings

Eisley POV:
Cody and I walked off the bus and decided to leave for a while since he wasn't performing today. I kept asking him where we were going, but he said "you'll see". He knows I hate surprises.

"Cody, seriously. Where are we going?" I asked for the millionth time.

"Baby, trust me. You'll see. It'll be worth the not knowing. Now, just sit back and relax. It's a long drive." I groaned and sat back in my seat, turning my head towards the window and looking out. I felt Cody grab my hand and interlace his fingers with mine. I smiled and looked at him. Wherever we're going, I don't care. As long as it's with him.

(3 hours later)
Cody P.O.V
We finally got to our destination. I look over and Eisley was asleep. I smile and get out, going to her side and waking her up. She flickered her eyes open quick and smiled. I leaned down and kissed her.

"We're here!" She sits up and looks around. A big smile grew on her face.

"Ready for my surprise?" She nodded her head. I smiled and picked her up bridal style, shutting the door and walking up to the edge of the cliff of the waterfall and setting her down. I took a deep breath and pulled out a maroon velvet box. Her eyes went wide and she smiled, eyes now welling up. As she teared up, so did I. I got down on one knee.

"Eisley. Since the day I met you I knew you were going to be a part of my life forever. I gave you my heart and not once did you break it. We've been through so much and we got through it no matter what it was. I love you so damn much. You've made me a better man. I can't thank you enough. Right now, I ask you to be my wife. I'm doing this because I'm settled. I'm happy now. I'm healthy. You keep me going and you never stop me. I love you. So, Eisley... will you marry me and make me the happiest man on earth?" At this point, we were both crying. I opened the box and held it up. Without hesitation, she said yes. I my heart jumped. I stood to my feet and instantly picked her up in my arms. I put the ring on her and held her tight in my arms, kissing her non-stop.

I couldn't be more happier than I am in this moment.
