If this is something I was meant to be, then so be it. If not, I'll know. I can't help but feel extremely terrified, yet okay with it. I somehow felt overwhelmed and calm about it, but I still haven't had a moment of deep thought that draw me in to defer me otherwise.
"Cody?" I yell from our bathroom. I heard footsteps race up the stairs.
"What is it? What's wrong?" He said.
"Nothing, actually. I'm just realizing that hey, everything might actually be okay and that this isn't as scary as I think." He had a relieved smile on his face.
"Exactly. You're going to be just fine. You're stronger than you think, honey." He kissed me and picked me up, carrying me downstairs.
"Now, what do you want to eat, m'lady?"
"Hmm, French toast sounds pretty incredible to me."
"I agree." He put me down and we began to make breakfast together.
"Who doesn't want breakfast at 8 at night?"
"Those who are against eating breakfast past the morning hours." He joked. I chuckled and kissed him, wrapping my arms around his torso and leaning my head on his back.
"What do you think will be the gender?" I asked.
"I say boy. I need a younger version of me."
"No, sir. No we do not. Besides, girls run in my family."
"Well, boys don't run in my family. We walk or keeps our butts on a couch." I sarcastically laughed and rolled my eyes.
"Well, if it is a boy, then you get to name him and I get to chose the outfits."
"Oooh, Sawyer."
"Aww, that's cute!"
"Then the middle name will be Boobies. Get it? 'SAW'yer Boobies?"
"Oh good lord, Cody." I playfully punched his arm and grabbed a plate, throwing on 2 slices and drizzling a shit ton of syrup on them.
