After introductions were over, the groups stayed at opposite ends of the room, wary of the other. It was a waiting game to see who would break the tense silence that had manifested around them.

Chieko gave in, and Izuku was grateful for it as the family seemed more at ease with her presence than his and Kacchan.

"So are you three headed to the safety area?" She asked.

Chieko didn't move from Izuku's side, her hand still gripping his shirt tight, betraying her fear. Uraraka's father was the one to speak for their group as he smiled at Chieko.

"Yes, or well we planned to but we ran into some trouble and I hurt my leg in the process." He admitted.

The girl, Uraraka, sat by her father's side, an angry pout on her face. It made her cheeks look rounder, but she didn't say anything as her father continued.

There was a tension in the girl's body that Izuku found familiar because it was the same frustration he felt.

The feeling of being useless.

"After that my daughter here has been using her quirk to make the travel easier on me, but unfortunately she ran out of energy before we could reach U.A." He said.

Izuku perked up at the mention of the hero school. He had assumed they were headed in the same direction. The hospital being closer to their general area, but he hadn't known that the school was another safety area. It made sense now that he thought it over. The school housed many facilities, heroes, and heroes in training; even if it had been attacked, it could have somehow survived.

"Could it have really survived the attack?" He asked.

Uraraka spoke up to answer in place of her father. "Yes, before the internet shut off the news had announced U.A. as one of the safe zones in the rea." There was no doubt in her words that U.A. had survived.

"Why not the hospital since its closer?" Izuku asked.

"Ochako had planned to take the entrance exam to U.A. before all this had happened. She insists thats the safest place right now." He said.

Izuku sat down, Chieko following close by as he propped back against the far wall. His hand rested against his chin, already deep in thought as he went over the new information. If the school had withstood the attack, were there heroes who could teach Izuku how to use his quirk? They could protect Chieko while he and Kacchan trained. It gave better options than the hospital, at least. Still, it was a higher probability that his mother was at the hospital since she would have been much closer to the area during the attack. No matter what, Izuku had to go there first to find his mom, but after they could try traveling to the school.

"Deku." Kacchan said.

Izuku paused in his thoughts as he looked up at Kacchan, who was standing over him, arms crossed, and his usual annoyed frown plastered on his face.

"Yes, Kacchan?" He asked.

"Your muttering is freaking the extras out." He said.

Izuku looked up and noticed the way Uraraka and her parents were eyeing him. They clearly couldn't make out what he had been saying, but Izuku knew his habit of talking out loud could make those around him uncomfortable, so he apologized.

"I was just considering the other safety areas, but we're searching for my mom so we have to go to the hospital first." He said.

Mrs. Uraraka looked at him with concern as she sat at her husbands' side. She was an older version of her daughter with the same short bob hair and distinct round, pink cheeks.
