Well, it was a million tiny little things that, when you added them all up, they meant we were supposed to be together.. and I knew it. I knew it the very first time I touched her. It was like coming home.. only to no home I'd ever known.. I was just taking her hand to help her out of a car and I knew. It was like.. magic.

Chapter 10 - Paris 2006

"So, what's the answer of the question?" Elliot asks as he looks down at my Mathematics books, his gaze is so sinister that I wonder what Mathematics has done wrong to him.

"Sine, uh, 80?" I lick my lower lip, quite confident that I'm wrong. He sighs dramatically, "You win again!" I stick my tongue to him. We've been playing Mathematics quiz for the third rounds and I've won it for the second time. He's actually pro in this subject! "God, that's so intense. Let's just forget Math," I bury myself in my arms, "I hate those weird numbers and rules."

He chuckles and nods, "I know. Oh look, our ice cream has come!"

The waitress comes with 2 bowls of ice cream parfait. It's Wednesday after school. I had a really boring Student Council meeting and Elliot just had his first day on the footb-oops, soccer team. So we walked together and found this new shop near the school, and rumour says it has the best parfait ever. So we come here to eat the parfait - caramel ones, of course! My mouth waters, because it has the cutest dessert appearance after.

"It's soo cute!" I gush in admiration, "How do they craft this little thing without drooling? It looks cute and tempting, really."

He chuckles and takes his spoon, his eyes glint in amusement as he says, "Well, not everyone has big and absolute appetite as you, Chels." I glare at him, taking my spoon and smile in delight when I feel the caramel sauce on my mouth. Caramel's just made in heaven. I feel like possessed when I eat it. No offense, but I think caramel's the day I still exist to life.

"Oh, I think I'm going to eat here every day!" I take another spoon of the ice cream again. I feel quite bad because Flo, Jake, and James can't make it today. They said they have to study at tutor center, which I get free leave today. I was supposed to tutor them today, but Mrs. Smith tells me to rest a bit. I was kind of surprised but I decide not to ask why, so she wouldn't change her mind.

"That's so hyperbole," he rolls his eyes, "But I like the caramel though. It's like melting on my tongue," he grins boyishly, and I can't disagree in that. "I know!" I chuckle in agreement, and we talk about random stuffs after.

After he pays for me, (yeah ever so gentleman of him) we walk together in front of the school, enjoying the cool breeze of autumn and the cloudy weather. Spending time with him is just pure happiness. It feels like we have known each other for years. We just never run out of topic and laughter.

It was all normal before he asks, "So, how are things going between Tyler and you?"

Tylo.

I instantly snap my head at Elliot, "Uh, what?"

"You heard me," he chuckles, "Tyler. He acts very weird today, don't you think?"

Talking about weird.. So today, suddenly, Tyler and William and Kyle move permanently to our table. It's very weird because they leave popular table to get with us - Flo, Jake, James, Elliot, and me. The girls get very uneasy of course, they keep glancing at us, because I sit sandwiched between Elliot and Tyler. Well, let's just say, they're just not the best person around each other. Just when I thought they would tolerate each other.. And the girls are debating about who is more handsome, Elliot and Tyler, and stuff. Elliot has been so popular right now, and Flo said I'm the target of all hormonal girls who happen to be in Tyler or Elliot's fans club.
