Chapter 19 - Because she's different and special
When William jokingly asked me what was important to Sam two days ago, I only replied, her pride, appearance, reputation, and Tyler without any doubt or any question. So when he smirked devilishly and left with the amused Kyle on his side, I could only shrug it off without a single care on the world.
But now I could understand the reason they asked.
Samantha's neon pink hair is why.
I know there's something fishy when I entered the school today. I was helping my friend from the News club to edit some of the articles and helping council's treasurer to arrange the council's monthly financial report. Thus, I didn't get the time to meet anyone from the gang because I was busy. Usually, when I was nowhere to be found, either Flo or James would call me.
But today? None.
So when Sam passed the council room with her flashy hair and grumpy face, I could only silently laugh with a little guilt. She, more or less, deserved it. I know this hilarious prank would be William's — his prank was always the most guiltless to laugh at. But what concerned me was what Harry, the council's treasurer said after laughing out loud — "Hey, she brought spray paint and headed to the lockers. I think she was up for something."
So I ran out of the council room and followed her to my locker. She knew straight ahead that the prank she got was involved with me. And turns out, she has ran out of idea to revenge me. She wanted to spray my locker again, no doubt about it. I ran to stop her adding words to my already cleaned locker, but before I reached her, she was already thrown and stumbling to the floor.
And this is the present: Tyler, who looks as eerily calm as ever, just picked her collar uniform and threw her to side.
I gape in shock when he appeared out of nowhere and threw her like that. Before I could walk and ask him to stop, Kyle pulls me away in safe distance. I take a deep breath as Samantha balances herself, still looking furious. A lot of students look at them curiously, chattering about what happens.
This is seriously not happening, right?
He's not going to beat up a girl, right?
"It's best if you don't get involved in this directly," Kyle says, "And just watch from here."
"Ky, he's not going to beat her, right? Tell me," I demand, trying to let my hand go from Kyle's strong grip. But Kyle's too strong for me to fight, and not to forget William's arm that holds me tightly. "Oh no, not. We're not that low, Chels," William grins wickedly. I give him a look again, because I can't believe he's doing it to Samantha. But on the other side, I am relieved because he's not going to beat her.
"It's so easy for you to be lured in a trap," Tyler smirks arrogantly, "And it's so comforting to know that your threat has backfired."
Threat?
"W-what?" Samantha's face redden, "Y-you did this too?" She yells, referring to her pink hair that looks silly on her. The people around laugh at her silly new hair color, some even cry. I know how hateful she is towards pink. She always tweeted about how lame pink is.
Tyler shrugs his shoulder, "Who knows? All I know from a little birdie is that your shampoo bottle is located on the locker room."
Tyler did this too?
