Chapter 30 - I'll be there in a heartbeat with pizza on my hand

Elliot is the best guy ever, seriously. He baked us apple pie, which I really love, because seriously, his pie crust is so crunchy and the filling is sweet, just what I like. Bless his future wife though. She would rely him on cooking. Specially if the girl can't cook properly like me.

So here we are, having a little forbidden and misplaced picnic on the school's theatre. We are having an assembly, it's a monthly thing though. Usually the teachers or the council president are the ones who give the speech. I bet they'll make this year's masquerade ball announcement today.

"We'll get caught if you eat so loudly," Fiona says to James who is munching loudly. Flo glares at Jake who is munching equally loud like James. Jake only grins childishly, letting the crumbs fall to the red seat. Seriously.

"Well I'm just enjoying Elliot's magnificent creation, so nothing else matters," James glares at Fiona back, making Fiona grins sheepishly. Elliot chuckles amusedly, satisfied that we all like his pie.

"Are you gay, James?" Fiona smirks amusedly all of sudden, eating her last bite of pie.

"What?!" The boys yell in unison, almost dropping their jaws. Flo and I stifle a laugh, because they look so ridiculous, even the way William almost dropped his half-eaten pie but managed to save it in the last seconds.

"Well because you don't like me. I flirted with you!"

Now that's amusing.

"This world doesn't revolve around you! I like someone else better than you."

... And now that's heartbreaking.

Surprisingly, without any bitter remarks, Fiona just smirks amusedly again. "I can make you forget her, you know."

James glares at Fiona, but this time it's cold by the way he squints his eyes so narrowly. It means he's very, very pissed and annoyed. "Your help isn't needed, just like your presence," he replies.

Fiona huffs vainly, not caring that James literally just said he didn't need her. Ouch. "I just don't understand why you just won't forget her. She's already snatched by someone else."

Poor James. I wish I can help him and make a change for him. If she's already taken, then he should have let her go. Forgetting and letting go might be the best way for him. But how could I help if he never tells me even a thing? He never even lets me know his crush. He is always so private about it, except his first crush on the school, Fiona. Now I wonder if Fiona knew about his past little crush to her.

Wait the hell, it means Fiona knew his current crush that neither Flo and I do know.

"Hey, Flo," I whisper as the others start talking about the other topic, "I think Fiona knows who he likes."

"Makes sense," she nods, "And you don't. How pitiful, I know."

"What?" I was taken aback, not only by her such remark, but with her quite weird tone. She was implying something of course, but I don't understand what it is. Flo smiles cheekily, "Don't worry. You don't have to know anyway."

"Why?" I ask, feeling dumbfounded. Now I'm sure Flo knows who she is, and I'm the only one left hanging with no truth. See, everyone likes to hide something from me. Why can't I just be trusted in love problem? I know I'm blunt, I don't give best advice in such romantic stuff, but at least I can listen and help a little, right?
