Chapter 36 - Even if you're fat I wouldn't mind stealing you

"Please go with me to the supermarket, these boys are unreliable. The last time I went with them they bought a year of life supplies," Elliot rolls his eyes, pointing at the boys who are carelessly munching the doughnuts loudly and watching some football tapes.

"Ah, I know that feeling." I tease Elliot, grinning. It's 3 pm by the time Fiona and I arrive on Tyler's mansion. I haven't seen Tyler yet.

"I didn't mean to make it sounds like gay."

"Jesus El, no!" I roll my eyes. So he now worries about being called gay?

"Okay, let's invite Flo as. . ." I turn my head to look for Flo, only to find her kissing with Jake on the bar stool.

"I guess that's a no," he comments and cringes as they break off from their kissing and look at each other in such affectionate stares. I wonder if Tyler and I ki—

No hell way. My heart aches in pain, remembering his words that keep ringing in my head, hurt and damaged.

"Fiona?" I offer Elliot. Elliot and I look at her who is happily watching football with the guys. She is already back to her cheerful state, laughing with Will, Kyle, and Kayla.

"Well I suppose it's just the two of us," I shrug as I put my bag on the couch and take my wallet with me. "Let's go!"

Elliot is typing his grocery list for the fondue on his iPhone when I see Tyler on his brown sweater, stepping downstairs from the big stairs. He looks so handsome and preppy with the shirt underneath.

I look away before he notices me staring at him. He was reading a book which cover I didn't see quite well. As I walk faster to the front door and wish that Elliot walks faster too, a deep voice stops me from walking.

"Hi Chello."

"Oh hi," I say with discouraged tone, turning my head to him. Elliot briefly looks at him from his phone and Tyler puts his arm on his shoulder in friendly manner. Elliot grins in recognition. "Hey bro."

I mentally cringe. Usually I would be so happy of their civil manners toward each others but now? I almost wish that Elliot won't greet him.

"Where are you guys going?" Tyler asks as he puts his book on the nearest table. I take a peek of the book and flush when I see it is Romeo and Juliet's play in French.

"Nah, the Food Emporium. We're just in for groceries," Elliot says. I silently pray that he isn't in good mood enough to invite Tyler along. I can't afford another minutes with him. I shake my head to Elliot repeatedly when Elliot smirks to me. I know what he's going to say. I know what he's plan—

"You wanna come?"

Shit shit shit shit. Now I hope Tyler won't be int—

"Yeah, I'm coming. Just wait for a sec, gonna take my wallet," Tyler leaves in a heartbeat, going upstairs for his wallet.

I groan, "El, I thought we had understanding here."

"Don't you like him?" He says as if nobody is around. Thank God the football tape's sound is so loud, so nobody would probably know. I glare at him for being so blatantly honest about my feeling for Tyler.
