Chapter 29

"T-thank you." Oh my God! Why did I stuttered?

I saw him bit his lower lip and he removed his hand on my hand. Napa-iwas ako nang tingin because he looked hot while doing that. Goodness! Why am I admiring even the smallest thing he do? I swallowed the lump on my throat at umayos nang tayo. 

"May time ka na ba?" He asked when I was about to open the door.

"For?" I asked back, getting nervous. I looked at him and our eyes met.

"For..." He trailed off na parang nag-iisip bigla nang isasagot. "Ah! About the patient that you referred. Oo, 'yun nga," he said smiling playfully.

Why is he smiling kasi nang ganyan? Ever since he came back, ganyan na siya! It's making me lose focus! Ugh! I need to be professional.

"Yeah, of course." I cleared my throat. "Come in," I said and opened the door. 

We both got inside and I put the paper bag in the table. He was the one who closed the door of my office. 

"Kumain ka muna," he told me that made my eyes widened. 

Napalingon ako sa kanya and he just looked at me innocently with a big grin on his face. I thought we're going to talk about the patient? He's making it look like it's urgent kasi kanina niya pa 'yan ginagawang reason to talk to me. But now, he wanted me to eat first? So, he's gonna watch me eat din? I looked away from him and sat on the reclining chair while he sit on the chair in front of me.

He happily looked around my office na parang first time niya biglang makapunta rito. His eyes lasted on the water dispenser which made my brows furrowed. Why di- oh my God! Is he thinking about the time I accidentally called him baby? His smile widen na parang may naalala talaga siya sa water dispenser. I cleared my throat and looked away. 

"You can say it na while I'm eating," I uttered while opening the paper bag to put the food in the table.

When I opened the bento box, halos wala man lang bawas 'yung food ko. Aside from not having the time to eat earlier, nandun pa si Theo kaya I was really conscious with my movements but now he's here again. I just can't seem to get away from him.

"No, kumain ka muna, Doc Lopez." He was saying that with a really big smile on his face. My brows furrowed again.

"Doc Jimenez," I blurted out while fighting with his stare. Mas lalo namang lumawak 'yung ngiti niya. Ugh!

"Yes, Doctora Adrienne Lopez?" Nang-aasar na tanong niya. "May gusto kang sabihin?" 

I suddenly remembered how I acted when I got drunk on Hime's house kaya napa-iwas ako nang tingin. I breathed deeply. Okay, fine! Kakain na nga! He's still so persistent. Ayaw magpatalo!

Narinig ko pa siyang tumawa when I picked up the utensils pero hindi ko na siya pinansin. I ate the food in silence while he just watched me the whole time. My God! I'm getting conscious. Ba't parang pinapahirapan niya ako?
