Luz Pov:
"No no... That's not gonna work.."
Even though I remember how to draw out and use glyphs, there's still so much more I could do with them that I haven't learned yet. I was so focused on making plans to defeat Belos that I completely overlooked making new glyph combos. Plus, I needed to practice more. I'm a little rusty when it came to magic.
While I was in the living area researching, I heard a knock at the front door, along with hooty speaking to someone with a groan that followed. Wait.. I know that voice. I scrambled up from the couch, knocking over paper and other things in the process, then hurried to the door.
"Heya, Ammy!"
"Hoot! Hey! I was talking to my bestie!!"
Amity gave a roll of her gorgeous eyes. "...Uh huh.. Anyways-" She rubbed the back of her neck, glancing down with pink cheeks. "I just thought I'd.. drop by- see if you wanted to hang out..?"
"Oh, for sure! You could even help me with some magic training! I need to brush up on my glyph skills." I puffed out my chest, hearing a snort from Amity.
"Sounds good, then, Miss 'Luzura'. I could train some, too, if I'm being honest.." She smirked, and I felt my chest flutter from the sudden shock of beauty that stood before me. Damnit, now isn't the time Luz!
"W-Well then, you came to the right place!" I tried to compose myself. Though I could feel my cheeks warming up by the minute. Not cool, Luz.. "I'll grab a few things and we can have a small witches duel! Think of it as a rematch for the one at the covention, hmm~?"
Amity gave me a playful grin. "Heh, sure... Though that one didn't count because we cheated-"
"Whatever you say, Blight~" I said in a sing-song voice, hearing Amity softly giggle behind me as I walked back to grab a notepad and a pencil to draw out my glyphs with. I couldn't help the goofy smile on my face, which I was glad that I had my back turned to her. I'd listen to her laugh all day if I could.
"Where are you going in a hurry?" King came in the room while munching on a bag of pretzels. I swear he had the stomach of a.... well- a Titan. A growing Titan at that. I could probably stock up on some human snacks for him later.
"Oh, me and Amity are gonna practice our magic."
"Oh oh! Could I be your referee?" King scarfed down the rest of his snack before tossing the bag, looking up at me with excitement.
"Hehe, how could I say no to that cute face?" The little Titan giggled before following me back outside, where Amity waited while tying back her hair in a full ponytail. Guh, why did she have to be so cute.. yet hot at the same time?!
I tried to push back the blush that threatened to crawl on my cheeks, before hearing King a few feet away in between us. "Alright! I want a clean fight! No cheaters this time!"
Amity glanced over to him with confusion, then back over towards me as if asking 'what is he doing?'. I gave her a shrug. "He wanted to be our referee. Let him have his fun."
She rolled her eyes, then lit up the palms of her hands with pinkish flames, throwing me a confident smirk as her face seemed to glow. "Ready to get your ass beat for real this time? I won't be holding back this time."
Holy shit, did my heart stop-?
I felt a bead of sweat rolling off my brow, swallowing down the lump in my throat before nervously laughing. "Y-You wish, Blight!" I quickly started drawing out glyphs to prepare myself. Was this a smart thing to do? To be having a duel with the most prettiest witch in the realm? No. Probably not. But I chose my funeral.
