Magic Training

Luz's Pov:

I have to say, even though I remember how to draw out and use glyphs, there's still so much more I could do with them that I haven't learned about yet. I was so focused on making plans to defeat Belos last time I was here that I didn't get to look into creating more glyph combos. Plus, I needed to practice more. I'm a little rusty when it came to magic.

While I was in the living area researching, I heard a knock at the front door, along with hooty speaking to someone and a groan that followed. Wait, I know that voice. I walked over and opened the door.

"Heya, Ammy! Hooty, stop bugging her-"

"Hoot! I'm not bugging her! I am a bug!"

Amity gave a confused and annoyed look. "...Right. Anyways, just thought I'd drop by to see if you wanted to hang out?"

"Oh, for sure! You could even help me with some magic training! I need to brush up on my glyph skills." I puffed out my chest, making her snort.

"Sounds good, then, Miss 'Luzura'. I could train some too, if I'm being honest." She smirked, making me giggle some.

"Well then, you came to the right place! I'll grab a few things and we can have a small witches duel! Think of it as a rematch for when we first had one at the covention, hmm~?"

Amity gave me a playful smirk. "Uh huh, that one didn't count because our mentors had us cheat."

"Whatever you say, Blight~" I said in a sing song voice, making her roll her eyes and blush a bit, which I noticed, as I walked back to grab a notepad and a pencil to draw out my glyphs with. I was about to head back outside when I heard tiny paw steps come into the room.

"Where are you going in a hurry?" King asked, holding a bag of pretzels while munching on them.

"Oh, me and Amity are gonna have a small witches duel to practice our magic, wanna come watch?"

"Meh, not like I have anything else to do. Sure!" King scarfed down the rest of his snack before throwing the bag somewhere on the floor, then climbing up to sit on my shoulder for a ride outside.
When we came back out, Amity had put her hair up in a full ponytail while doing a few stretches, and not her usual half up ponytail. Why did she have to be so cute and hot at the same time??

I pushed down the blush from my cheeks before setting down King a few feet away from us to keep him out of harm's way, then made my way over to get in position. Amity looked up to me with a determined smile. "Ready to get beat for real?"

"You wish, Blight!" I laughed, then prepared by drawing out several glyphs. I wanted to have some at the ready just in case before having to draw them out on the fly. I didn't know what she was capable of since the last time I saw her, so I needed to be ready.

King had somehow gone back inside and grabbed something to snack on and came back out in the time I was drawing out my glyphs, sitting in his spot a few ways from us. He's so cute sometimes that I just wanna squeeze him. How can you not when he was sitting with excited eyes and his tail just a wagging?

I gave my attention back to Amity once I was done drawing out as many glyphs as I could and stood up in a ready stance. "Ready?"

"Ready." She repeated, gracefully getting info her stance. Holy titan, I wanted to kiss her so bad- No! Focus, Noceda!

I shook my head before making the first move, using a plant glyph to sprout vines towards her. She merely smirked and drew two spell circles with her hands and making her fists on fire, then she cut into the vines before they reached her.
