Luz Pov:
While walking back towards the Owl House, my mind was replaying every moment that just happened. When did she get so... pretty?? I clenched a hand over my racing heart, gripping at the fabric of my shirt.
'She still smelt like strawberries..'
I was so caught up thinking about how she looked like a cotton-candy haired goddess, that I found myself already walking up towards Hooty's door. Though I blinked, his body seeming to stretch out somewhere in the distant forest. I could hear him somewhere far off screaming about a... 'little green.. devil'? Shaking my head, I went ahead and headed inside. Whatever he was doing was his business.
I was greeted with King running up to me and jumping into my arms. "Luz! You're not allowed to leave me again-!"
"Hehe, missed you too, my little beach peach~" I cooed, nuzzling into him before I heard Eda coming from the kitchen with a loud crash and bang.
"Hey Kiddo, how'd the reunion go?" Eda came into the room with her staff in hand, though the spot where Owlbert rested was covered in some sort of goop. She scowled at it, then quickly flung it off onto the wall.
"Oh, it was fantastic! I uh- also may have invited them all over for a sleepover if that's alright?" I grinned sheepishly. She gave me a slight, unamused glare, before letting out a sigh.
"Fine fine, just don't make a mess of the place or wake me up-"
"Thanks, Eda! You're the best!" I pulled her into a hug, pinning her arms to her sides.
"Yea yea, don't make a big fuss about it, kid." She huffed, pushing me away with a notable smirk on her lips. Even if she didn't show it much, she definitely cared for me. Like one of those cool Aunts. "Now then-" She pushed up her sleeves with determination, heading for the kitchen. "Mama's got some vegetables to deal with-"
"Oh wait! Before you do- would it be alright if I used the portal door? I wanted to bring some human stuff over for us to enjoy. Like snacks and whatnot-"
"Yea sure, I don't care, just make sure it's safe before you go through it. It was a little unstable after rebuilding the thing." She said, pulling the ket from her massive hair and handing it over. Then she waved me off before more banging and crashing insued in the kitchen. Whatever she was trying to make must've been a hassle.
I eagerly took the key in hand, the door suddenly appearing as it unfolded. It flashed open in an instant, taking a moment before the warbling entrance settled, revealing the human realm. After making sure it wouldn't close on me, I rushed back to my house to grab a few things like snacks, sodas, a few blankets and movies, and a portable tv to watch them on. I was about to rush back with everything before I paused, looking back at the place.
"I should probably leave a note for mamá. She might think I got kidnapped or something-" I set the supplies down, then grabbed a pencil and some paper.
'Went back to the Boiling Isles for a bit. Eda and King made a new door for me. I grabbed some things for a sleepover in case you go looking for stuff that's missing. I'll show ya around later.
~Love Luz'
Once I was satisfied, I grabbed all the supplies I had stocked up and rushed back towards the shack. The portal door seeming to eye me as I jumped through. "Thanks Eda!" I placed the key back on the counter for her, watching as she was struggling to force... whatever it was, into a boiling cauldron.
Now, the party could begin. Well- when everyone got here, of course.
As I was setting up bowls, I heard skittering claws, glancing over to see King peeking up over the coffee table. Well.. I say peeking, then I forgot how much taller he had grown. "Ooooh, what are all these~?" King looked at all the little bags of candy and chips I had set up as if it was a feast for himself.
