"You ready to talk yet," the guard asked after he opened the door for the weekly check-in.
Franky grunted, averting his eyes from the man, irritated by the guard's presence and the electric light that invaded the room. If his arms weren't cuffed behind his back, he would've folded them and flipped the bird. He's not going to talk, too stubborn and tired to do so. If he was going to talk, it would've been long ago.
These guys have been isolating Franky for months now, maybe not. He lost track of time... and any hope of getting out of there. Frankly, he didn't even care about getting out of there at this point, he had nothing important going on back in his life. He mainly just stayed at his workshop making new inventions then go out and party every now and then. Sure he had his connections to people but they were more associates than friends, no one he'd miss. He did miss building new stuff, that was his passion, but he had to sacrifice that by being in this solitary confinement.
"We got you a new roommate," the guard announced, tossing you in the cell. Your face collided with the ground and you tipped over to your side, your back facing the blue-haired cyborg. Franky's expression gave away how surprised he was. Glancing at the guard, he raised a brow knowing there had to be some catch, this was supposed to be solitary confinement. "Don't get too comfy, her days are numbered."
The guard shut the door, locking it up. Franky waited for the footsteps to go away before he nudged you. Like him, your hands were cuffed behind your back, but something seemed off by the arm you had pressed against the ground. His puzzled face disappeared when you turned over.
The first thing he noticed had the severe purple cloud that was on your stomach, you couldn't miss it with the tattered white tank top. Franky's eyes trailed over to your arm that puzzled him, the whole thing had been twisted and practically backwards now. The sight caused Franky's stomach to turn.
"...hey..." You slowly sat up, wincing from the sting pain you felt when you moved. "What are you in for?"
"Knowing shit..." Franky shrugged, not able to come up with a real answer since he was more concerned about what happened to you. "You alright?"
"I'll be fine," you dismissed your injuries.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"How come you don't have any marks or bruises?" You asked Franky after your sloppy food and water came.
"I'm a cyborg, their torture methods don't work on me," he explained forking in the mush into his mouth.
"Lucky..." you mumbled poking your food.
"It has it's benefits, but it's not all that super..." Franky told you, but you weren't sure if he did that to make you feel better.
"Well, what are the rest of the benefits?"
A sparkle ignited in Franky's eyes as he started telling you the cybernetic functions of his body, which led him to tell you how he had a passion for creating machines. You smiled as he talked, finding his presence to be delightful to be around and enjoying him telling you about himself. The conversation moved to you, and you told him how you were an explorer, how you loved to discover places no one has ever seen before. The two of you started exchanging your favourite things and sharing small stories.
For the first time, Franky felt like he had a connection with someone.
Then morning came...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Come on missy." The guard grabbed you by your hair, dragging you out of the cell.
"Hey! Where are you taking her?" Franky demand to know, quickly waking up.
"That's none of your concern," the guard told before turning and giving him a sadistic smile. "I did say her days are numbered, didn't I? Of course, arrangements could be made if you start talking." With that, the guard left, leaving Franky alone in his cell.
Silence flooded the room, for once he began to feel suffocated by it. With you now gone, he never felt more alone. Now, all that swarmed Franky's mind is terrifying images of what was going to happen to you if he kept his mouth shut while in solitary confinement.
