Lasting Love

Excitement

"What do you think it is?" I ask Justin as I sit on the exam table. We're at my doctors appointment waiting to find out the sex of the baby.

He reaches over for my hand and thinks for a little "I think a girl."

"Me too." I lay down and get comfortable.

Soon after, the doctor comes in to do some tests. She takes some blood to make sure everything is okay, weighs me and measures my stomach to see how big the baby is. Finally she is ready to do the ultrasound. Justin and I are basically jumping because of excitement.

"You have a very healthy baby, he or she is just being camera shy." She says as she moves the wand around trying to get a good look. Justin and I watch the screen fiercely waiting to get the first good look at our baby. It amazes me to see the movement I've been feeling.

She moves the wand a little more and is finally able to get a good look of the baby "It looks like baby Theroux is a girl!" She proudly says to Justin and I "Congratulations!"

Justin waits until she's done and leaves us alone and sits on the table next to me. He leans over and kisses me sweetly "I love you, and our little princess too."

"We love you too." I kiss him back.

We head home for a few hours before the rest of the day. Now that I'm 5 months pregnant, we're ready to announce it to the world, and we thought today would be great.

"My next guest is an award winning actress and one of my best friends. She came on the show today out of the kindness of her heart..." I stand backstage at Ellen's show listening to her and waiting until she calls my name. I'm so nervous to be announcing everything today, but Justin is here to support me and we both know it's time.

"Please welcome Jennifer Aniston!"

I walk out onto the stage and watch everyone's expression. I'm wearing a cute sundress that leaves them wondering if I could be hiding something. Ellen hugs me right away when I get to her and I wave to the audience before sitting down. She knows our secrets and is going to try help us make the announcement easier.

"It's so great to see you!" She says as we wait for he audience to calm down "How have you and Justin been?"

"We're good, very busy." I look over and she signals me the look of 'let's do this'.

"You're going to be busy for a while now." She jokes confusing the audience a little. "I actually wanted to share this picture that you and Justin sent to Portia and I. We thought it was adorable." She points to the screen behind her that is revealing our surprise. On the screen is a picture of Justin and I taken last week. In the picture Justin has his arms wrapped around me with both of his hands resting on my belly. My hands are next to him, and you can see both of our wedding rings clearly.

I sit up in my chair better and flatten my dress out to reveal my bump better and everyone in the audience gets silent "I guess we will be." I say back to her "We couldn't decide how we wanted to tell all of our friends, but when someone suggested that we knew right away it was what we wanted to do."

"I think it was a cute idea! So, how long have you two been married? I know it's a while." She says once again surprising the audience who clearly think we just got married.

"8 months. We did it really privately. It was just the two of us and it was small but we loved it." I look around and see shock on everyone's faces. Even Ellen who knew we were married, just not that long "We wanted to announce that we were married and the baby at the same time."

"Well you definitely surprised all of us! You two are going to be amazing parents. How far along are you?"

"5 months. We actually just found out the gender today, so we're very excited to set everything up now."

"Thank you so much for being on the show!" She says as my time starts to run out "Congratulations again!"

I walk off the stage as they cut to the commercial and sigh of relief. The hard part of hiding everything is finally over. Justin is waiting for me back stage and he walks right up to me to hug me "You did so good, babe. Everyone seemed so excited."

"Yeah, but not as excited as us." I walk into the dressing room and sit on the couch "I can't believe how fast all of this is going."

Justin follows me and sits down pulling me on his lap "I know, but I kinda love it. I'm so excited to experience all of it." He moves his hand to my belly and right away she starts kicking in that spot "I love feeling her move around, but I can't wait for her to get here so we can try to raise her without messing her up too much."

"Babe, she's gonna be messed up. There's no doubt about that." I say and we both laugh. We both know she's going to have our craziness in her, but she's still going to be perfect to us.
