"Mommy, I go with? Peas?!?" Kay begs as I try to leave the house for my hair appointment.

I look over to Justin who has Ben and Lexie climbing around on him for an answer.

"Okay, but she better not come home with any crazy hair." He walks over to us making Ben and Lexie say bye "Don't do anything crazy to your hair either." He jokes as he kisses me.

I grab Kay's hand and we walk out to the car so that we can leave. She jumps into her car seat excitedly and buckles herself in so that we can leave and get there quickly. The whole way there she talks about everything.

"Hey, Jen!" Chris looks up from his client as I walk in "Hi, sweetie!" He waves to Kayleigh.

"Chris!" She yells excitedly and runs right over to him hugging his legs. He laughs and picks her up letting her "help" him hold the hair dryer. I watch them as I check in for my appointment. The lady getting her hair done is laughing at whatever they're talking about.

Once Chris is done with the other lady's hair and she gets up, Kay jumps right on what will be my seat.

"Up, honey." I walk over and put my arms out for her. She jumps into my arms and I sit on the chair setting her on my lap. I hand her my phone to play with, and Chris walks over with a cape for each of us.

"What are you getting done today?" He asks prepping my hair.

"Just a cut and color. I think I want it a little darker this time." I look down at Kay "Can I get it like your hair?"

"Yeah!" She looks up at me "Me too?"

"Kay you don't dye your hair the color it already is." I laugh a little "Maybe you can get yours cut like mine."

Chris leaves to get the dye from the back, so I take a picture of us to send to Justin, who replies back with one of Ben and Lexie in the pool. Kay tells me what else she wants me to say to him, so I send him some random sentences from her, and he replies back with whatever Ben told him. They like to talk in their own little kid language that we don't understand.

"So, how's Justin?" Chris asks trying to start conversation with me "Still filming his show?"

"Daddy home." Kay answers for me.

"He is?" Chris replies to her "Is he with Ben and Lexie?"

"Yeah, they swim." She tells him and they go on into some conversation that I don't want to get in. They talk about lots of random things that she finds interesting, and she asks him questions about everything. I end up giving Kay my phone then because she gets bored, and Chris and I talk about more adult stuff until he is done. Eventually he finishes dying my hair and after lots of her begging, I give in and decide to let Kay get washout highlights. She, of course does not know that they are washout.

"My turn!" She jumps off my lap and onto the other chair where Chris has a little stool for her. I take a picture of her with the dye in her hair and send it to Justin giving him a heart attack.

'I said nothing crazy happens to her hair! A 5 year old does not need highlights.'

'Relax, dude. It's blonde, not bright ass purple.'

I eventually tell him that it's washout dye and he calms down a little, but everyone else who heard the phone call thinks it's funny.

Chris washes, styles and cuts my hair while he is waiting to wash the dye out of Kay's, and she decides that she's going to bother one of the other stylists, who let's her help him with stuff. She gets to help clean up and wash his equipment before the next customer gets here for their appointment.

"Mommy, look!" Kay points out her hair to me once everything is done. Ours are similar in color and are the same length. She is showing off to everyone around her.

"It's beautiful, Kayleigh." I pick her up "I love it!" We smile for Chris to take a picture of us, and then get in the car to go home.

We walk into the house and I'm immediately seen by Lexie who runs right up to me.

"Momma!!!" She holds her arms up "I swim!" She talks to me about what she did today as best as she can. Her little vocabulary makes it hard to understand, but she's really trying.

Justin walks up to us carrying Ben who seems less amused to see us. He is much more interested in the show that Justin pried him away from.

"Mommy, Kay pretty!" He says after Justin whispers it in his ear. He then go right back to trying to watch his show over Justin's shoulder.

"Daddy look! It's pretty!" Kay holds up a strand of her hair to show Justin. He picks her up with his other arm and "inspects" her hair "I love it, princess! You look even more like mommy now."

"I love yours too," he leans over and kisses me "You're both beautiful."
