Sky Princess to Grounder Queen (Clexa)

Chapter 4

The next morning 

Clarke's pov

I wake up the next morning by someone throwing freezing cold water on me. When I open my eyes I see Anya stood smirking at me and I wanted to scream. 

Clarke - Did you seriously just do that. 

Anya - Yeah. Hurry up and sort yourself out, your breakfast is on the table. We have a busy day. 

Clarke - What are we going to be doing. 

Anya - Well first you need to get your measurements taken for your armour and you can choose a design, we're starting training today, I'm going to start teaching you trigedasleng and then you're going to meet Nyko. 

Clarke - Wow it is going to be a busy day. Okay.

I quickly change into some clothes i was given yesterday and sit down at the little study table and eat my breakfast which consisted of some meat and berries. It was better than anything I've ever tasted. Once I had finished eating I walked out of my tent and started walking towards Anya. She was talking to the commander so I just stood and waited until they were done, when they finished talking Lexa I mean Heda smirked at me and I blushed. I really don't know what this woman is doing to me but I like it. Turning towards me Anya smirks when she see's my red cheeks and mumbles something under her breath. I think she said branwodas (fools) or something like that. I'll have to learn what that means. 

Anya - Right let's go get you measured for your armour.

Clarke - Okay.

We walked up to a hut and Anya knocked on the door and an elderly woman came to the door. They hugged each other and Anya was actually smiling so that tells me that they are close. Anya was talking to the woman in trigedasleng so I was kinda just stood awkwardly waiting for them to finish.

Anya - Clarke, come here.

I walked over to the two women. 

Anya - So there are a few different designs here you can choose from or because you are an artist you can design your own. Once you've chosen the design we can get your measurements.

Clarke - Okay. I think I will choose a design from here.

There were so many designs to choose from that It had taken me a good half an hour to look through them and find the one that I thought was perfect. Anya must have agreed because when I showed here she said it was a good choice and gave me a small smile. The armour was simple yet sharp. It was black with some blue accents there was padding everywhere. I'm guessing this is to avoid getting cut as best as possible. There were several sheaths around the legs, arms and waist for small daggers and knives and a sheath on the back for a sword. I then got all of my measurements done, arm length, leg length, waist length and other measurements like that. Once we were done with the measurements we went to the training grounds.

Anya - So today we are going to spend around two hours training and I'm going to teach you some of the basics of hand to hand combat. Things like how to stand when fighting and how to throw a punch, we will see how far we get with that and then if you perfect it and we still have time we can do some other things. 

Clarke - Okay. 

Anya taught me the basic skills in hand to hand combat and she actually praised me a few times because according to her I was picking things up a lot quicker and I was almost near to perfection before of the villagers informed Anya that Lexa wanted to talk to us once we were done training. We carried on for a little while longer and by the end of the session Anya told me that I was ready to move on to some new skills because I had perfected the basics. Knowing this made me really happy. 

Anya - We are going to go and meet with Heda now and then you can have some lunch and we will get back on schedule. sound good? Okay. You did good today skyprisa. (sky princess).

I laughed a little at that, Anya really doesn't leave any room for protest. 

Clarke - Thank you. Okay. Let's go. 

We walked back to the main area of the village and then made our way towards Heda's tent. The guard on duty outside announced we were there and we walked in. 

Lexa - How was training?

Anya - It was good. Clarke is a very fast learner and she has already perfected the basic skills of hand to hand combat. She's a lot faster than you that's for sure.  

I must have looked so confused because they both let out a little chuckle. 

Lexa - You look confused. Is it because of Anya saying your faster than me?

I just nod my head.

Lexa - Before I was called to lead our people I was Anya's second and she trained me to be the warrior I am today and because I was really young It took me a long time to perfect everything and I used to mess around a lot. 

Anya - She was quite the rebel in her youth. She would never listen and it took her ages to do pretty much anything. 

Clarke - Wow.

Anya - Was that all Heda?

Lexa - For you yes however I would like to speak with Clarke alone. If that is okay with her. 

She said that while looking at me. I nodded my head.

Clarke - Sha heda that is fine.

She smiled when she heard my speaking trigedasleng.

Anya - Very well. I will be leaving, Clarke, come and find me when you are done as we still have much to get through today. 

Clarke - Okay. 

I was kinda nervous because I didn't know what she wanted to talk to me about and I really like her so I hope I don't act like an idiot now that we are alone.  

Lexa's pov

I just told Clarke that I wanted to speak with her privately and I honestly no longer think that was a good idea because it may lead to me telling her how I feel and how I want to be with her. I think I will just play it safe and ask her how she has been getting on and if she likes the village. 

Lexa - So Clarke, how have things been? Are you enjoying the village?

Clarke - I am really enjoying it here and things have been great. I've only been getting a few strange stares which is surprising because I thought there would be more. 

Lexa - I'm glad you're liking it here. Listen I need to tell you something but I can't tell you until after you're initiation and after I tell you you might hate me and think of me differently but I hope that doesn't happen. 

Clarke - Lexa I don't think i could ever look at you differently or hate you. Sorry. Heda. 

I smiled a little when she got a little worried because she called me Lexa. 

Lexa - Clarke you can call me Lexa it's fine when we are alone just try to remember to call me Heda when we are around people because they may see it as you disrespecting me and me status. Okay?

Clarke - Okay. Was that everything? Sorry I don't mean to be rude it's just that I still have a session with Anya where she is going to teach me Trigedasleng and I need to meet Nyko.

Lexa - It is not rude Clarke don't worry about it and yes that was all. 

Clarke - Okay. I guess I will see you when I see you.

Lexa - Sha.

Clarke then walked out I'm guessing to go and meet with Anya. I didn't make a fool out of myself and when Clarke said she could never hate me or think of me differently, there was a weird feeling in my stomach I don't know what it was but I think I liked it. Also the way she said my name made me feel so weak but I really enjoyed that moment.

(AN: So I'm going to stop this chapter here the next one is going to pick up with Clarke's pov as she leaves the tent to find Anya. Also I'm only going to do author note's when it's absolutely necessary, meaning when I need to clarify something so you understand the story.)
