Ladybug wiped her tears with her arm for the fifth time.

She never knew rejection hurt so much and that's what made it worse.

Marinette always had hope with Adrien. A so perfect future that she would dream on every night.

Though, the dream was so broken now, and all she could do was cry over it, or at least it seemed that way.

"Marinette, you're a spectacular girl, but... Sorry, I just don't feel the same way... Thanks for telling me your feelings though! That was very confident of you."

Marinette knew Adrien couldn't just say that he didn't like her, he had to be kind about it, and she did appreciate that, she really did.

Yet that did not help at all. She had no idea how much it would hurt.

"I guess no hamsters with a huge house and 3 kids...." Ladybug sniffed. It was stupid for her to let her thoughts get the better of her, and she knew that, but couldn't help the feeling.

"I like hamsters, you know?" Chat Noir interrupted. He was crouching down and put his hand on her shoulder.

He went out to get his mind fresh, but after seeing his lady and citing the sound of her cries he ran immediately towards her.

She turned her head around, wiping her tears in the process, "C-chat N-no-noir?".

"Hey.... Do you wanna explain what's up?" He asked, sitting down right next to her laying his hand on her thigh trying to comfort her.

She smiled slightly, looking at Chat who had a concerned face on.

"I confessed to the boy I liked..." Ladybug stated.

Chat eyes widened making Ladybug notice. She frowned.

"What?" She questioned, but Chat just shook his head and gestured her to continue.

"Well, it didn't end up well... He rejected me and now here we are! I really thought I'd have a chance with him..." Ladybug mumbled, more tears escaping her eyes.

She knew Chat liked her and she knew it was selfish for her to talk about Adrien like it were no big deal.

"Anyone who would reject you M'lady clearly doesn't have a brain!" He said trying to lighten her mood but got no effect back.

His ears dropped by seeing her still frowing and tears still running down her cheeks.

"Uh, well... You tried M'lady and that's all that matters. I know it hurts to be rejected because I've felt the same feeling, but it changes your view on love. I promise you that it can help you in the future... or I think." He mumbled the last few words.

He didn't know what to say and he had just rejected one of his best friends earlier and he was maybe hoping Ladybug could comfort him a bit, but it was now him comforting her.

Not that he minded or anything, he just felt surprised that someone would reject her feelings.

Ladybug took Chat's hand off her thigh and hugged her feet, looking down.

She knew Chat was trying his best to help, but it wasn't helping just yet. Alya had also tried to comfort her best friend by telling her great compliments, but Marinette felt no effect on any of the words.

"Thank you Chat, but I feel like comfort isn't what I need right now... Maybe it's just.... Ugh, I don't know!" She said flopping her hands in the air.

Chat looked down, "Everything comes at a time Ladybug, don't pressure yourself because of this. Yes it may be hard to get over the rejection, but it's his lost, right? I know you're thinking I'm saying this because I like you, but I mean it. He's a dumbie for sure and I know your heart will ache, but everything is meant for a purpose even if we can't see it yet."

Ladybug looked at Chat and smiled, "Thank you Chat, I'll keep that in mind, but I should go now... My parents probably have dinner almost ready and I don't wanna worry them by not being there."

"Anything for you Bugaboo," Chat said as he got up, stretching. "At least since he doesn't like you I have a better chance with you." He smirked.

Ladybug blushed a bit, but payed no attention to it. She knew Chat was just trying to make her happy and his awful flirts were working.

"Thank you Chat Noir, I mean it. I'll see you soon. Bug out." She said before swinging her way out.

Chat Noir smiled.

He was glad he could help his lady.
