Rose ~ Marichat

Chat Noir didn't plan on visting Marinette often, especially after her confession, but he did.

Both of them don't know when their friendship actually took off, but the designer and cat didn't seem to mind.

After visting Marinette over and over again Adrien realized Marinette was more then a friend. She was his crush.

It took him a while to realize it himself, but Plagg made the blonde come to the conclusion that he fell for another piece of cheese or girl in this matter.

Adrien's thoughts of Ladybug became less as his thoughts of Marinette's became more.

Adrien adored the girl. He loved her beauty and personality. So, Chat came up with a way he could confess to Marinette.

Chat Noir had his hopes high knowing that Marinette did like him once, so he got a rose and would tell her his feelings the next time he would see Marinette.

So when dawn came Chat ran to the pigtail girl's house and knocked on her trap door.

"Oh, hey kitty!" Marinette got on her balcony.

Chat's heart raced faster when he saw her, the rose in his hand about to fall.

"Hey Princess!" Marinette rolled her eyes playfully, "I never will get why you call me that." Chat chucked.

"You can come inside if you like, my dad just baked some fresh chocolate filled cookies that we could eat." She announced.

Chat nodded and watched Marinette enter her room as he followed behind her.

Marinette's room has changed since he has last seen it on TV. The Adrien posters she had were no longer to be seen.

"You wanna come Chat? We have a lot of new deserts and you could come pick the ones you'd like."

"Wait is your dad down there?" Chat asked. He was scared of the man. Adrien knew he had a reason to be, but he was to scared to encounter him.

"Well, duh. This is his house y'know." Chat rubbed the back of his neck realizing he lost the rose.

"Then I'll stay up here." Marinette gave Chat a confused look before nodding and leaving to get the desserts.

Marinette came back up with a plate of treats that Chat dug into the minute she placed it down.

"So, why'd you ask if my dad was down there?" Marinette asked and Chat gulped.

"Uh you know after the accident, I mean it wasn't an accident, well it kinda is, ANYWAY uh remember when I rejected your feelings. . .?" Marinette nodded, "I am now afraid of what your father will do to me."

Marinette bursed out laughing and Chat blushed in embarrassment.

"You?! Scared of my dad?! That's hilarious, he couldn't even hurt a fly!" Marinette continued laughing.

"Not from what I remember, but okay. . ." Chat mumbled.

"He was actually confused when I said I liked you because I never had talked about you before only about my real crush, but nevertheless supported me." Chat eyes widened.

"What do you mean. . .?" He asked. Adrien thought that in that moment when he rejected her she was heart broken, but in reality she didn't even have feelings for him?

"Oh, I said that. . . Well, I guess I'll tell you the truth. I lied about my feelings for you in that moment. It was all acting. I only said that to protect something. I wasn't expecting it to go that far. . ." She explained.

Chat's heart broke at that moment. She lied about her feelings to protect something. Why would she lie about love?! He felt like she thought it was a joke.

"I don't like lying about my feelings, trust me, but one day it will all make sense why I did. . . Hey are you okay?" Marinette noticed how Chat's eyes looked different and his sad expression.

"Oh, yeah I'm totally fine. I just thought you were being h-honest in that moment, but who did you have to protect?" Adrien felt his heart break.

"It will make more sense in the future, kitty cat." She booped his nose, "Please don't be mad at me for that, I didn't mean to do that. I understand if you won't though. Anyways you did reject me, so. . . " She looked down.

Marinette was right which made Chat wanna cry. He did reject Marinette and now does he regret it. Even if she didn't like him that time, Adrien knew he could make her fall in love with him as Chat.

"No, no, no, you're good, just it was unexpected. . . Ah look at the time! I got to go. See you tomorrow Marinette!" Chat said even though he didn't know if he could see her tomorrow despite seeing her at school.

"Awww, okay! See you tomorrow Chat! You can take the treats." She handed Chat the plate, "You can just give it back to me tomorrow!"

Chat nodded thanking her before saying goodbye.

Chat ran home making sure the snacks wouldn't fall down, while tears slipped down his eyes.

And the rose would be left on her balcony, to not be found.
