"You said you were good with kids, right Chat Noir?" Ladybug carelessly asked. He nodded slowly, watching as her depressed expression had not changed.

"Why do you ask little bug?" The question that Ladybug asked him had been out of the ordinary. Chat didn't even know where she had got the thought that he may have been good with children.

Truth be told, Chat Noir was good with children. He'd always say it was because he'd never gotten the chance to have a very open childhood or imagination. It was always work, work, work, break, play, eat, work, work, sleep.

Or that's what it always seemed like. Adrien's mom had been there to comfort him during the days, but that didn't mean he got the chance to play with toy trucks or fantasize about being a fire fighter.

Ladybug muttered something, a little lower then a whisper, but hearable with the cat miraculous addition.

Oh because when we were fighting Risk you said you were good with children but then got flinged...

"You remembered that part of the battle? I didn't even remember it myself and I said that line." Chat Noir stared at Ladybug.

She moved her neck side to side, yawning as she nodded. Ladybug then layed her head back on her palm.

There was a silence, not awkward nor long, before it was broken by Chat Noir.

"You shouldn't be so worried about Shadowmoth right now Bugaboo. You need to calm down and relax a bit. How else are you going to think through everything to make a plan if your mind hasn't relaxed yet?" His voice was low and sweet.

Ladybug now counted every blessing after Chat Noir reassured the bug that he wasn't going anywhere anytime soon. Even if she had done some stuff that made him upset and frustrated.

"How can I relax Chat? It's like acting as if everything is normal. Master Su Han has already came to me threatening that if I didn't have an idea by the end of next week to get all the miraculous back, he'd take away my miraculous and yours. Also my guardianship... Not to mention the media and press talking about Shadowmoth and how I failed..... It's so much, I can't just relax!" She threw her hands up in the air, her eyes watering.

"Ladybug, of course everything isn't going to be normal after this. It won't be, but you can't let that ruin your life. If you found a way to make a literal frisbree save all of France, then you can solve this too, but remember. You had to think and clear your mind before fixing everything."

Ladybug looked at him and sighed. She leaned down and tried to lay her head on his shoulder, but she was too short to reach his new height. Her head made it to the higher mid of his arm. It made Chat Noir chuckle.

"Looks like someone isn't going to be tall~." Chat Noir teased. Ladybug grunted, "I'm not short you're just rarely taller then most teenagers."

"Oh but My Ladybug, you were shorter then practically everyone we had on our team. Your height doesn't seem like it's going to change, but hey! That's okay. I don't mind leaning down when you try to kiss me!" The boy cooed.

Ladybug remained silent. Silence that was interrupted by her sniffs and tears. Her eyes had became damp again and her nose had became identical's to Rudolph the reindeer.

Chat Noir panicked. He must have said something that stroke the wrong nerve. He rewinded what he said, pausing at every word. Was it his flirting or was Ladybug secretly insecure about her height and maybe he only made it worse. Maybe it was about-

"We don't have a team anymore Chat. It's all my fault for it too. Everyone in the team is gone and it's just me and you now!" Ladybug's tears rapidly ran down her cheeks.

Chat Noir looked down on his lap, angered by what his partner said. They were always the duo. They were known as the perfect duo! Why couldn't she see that anymore? Did she not care for him anymore?

No. Chat Noir had to stay focused on cheering Ladybug up. He couldn't let his emotions get in front of what his lady needed at the moment. No matter how much Chat Noir wanted to snap at her for everything she had done to him, he wouldn't. Ladybug needed him.

"Ladybug... What are you saying? We're still a team. Even if you don't have 10 extra superheroes helping you, that doesn't mean you don't have a team. I'm still here for you. I may only be what you see as an original and starter pack, but I'll still always stay. How about this? Let's go back to what's always worked! A duo. Me and you against the world My lady!"

Blush spread across her cheeks as Ladybug listened to what Chat Noir had to say. When it was just them both together, they could always figure something out without needing another hero to protect them both or help. She was just selfish. Wanting her friends to help when she only needed one person.

Chat Noir.

"You think w-we can do that? We haven't really worked together in a while..." Ladybug saw Chat's determined cheeky smile.

"Of course we can. I just need you to believe in yourself and then we can do anything. Do you believe in yourself My lady? Because I believe in you and so does all of Paris. Why do you think they'd come cheer for you at 11:00 at night when it's a work day and pouring down rain?"

Ladybug knew Chat Noir was right. He usually was always right when it came to these things. Scrach usually. He was always right when it came to this. Chat Noir may be a dork but he knew when it was time to be serious, even if it took her a while to figure that out.

"Thank you kitty cat. I don't know how'd I function if you weren't here with me. I really have taken you for granted and left you in the dark. I know I can't make up time, but maybe I can make up the things I haven't told you?" She eyed him as her voice cracked.

"That'd be nice, but take your time bug. I would wait a thousand more years if it means I could be with you." Ladybug cheeks redend more.

"Well, it all started when Bunnyx came around to my house. It was very confusing, but at last I get the mission she has designed for me. The exact mission was saving you from the akuma that captured you. I don't know if that makes sense but you were akumitzed... The whole world had been destroyed and I or our love was the reason for it..." As Ladybug kept speaking about all the secrets she had kept to herself, time went on and Chat Noir learned more.

The dark seemed to creep away from him as the light finally started to work again. Maybe they could become the duo they were before.

Even if it meant that no identities could be revealed, someone knew his lady's identity, or he couldn't know the other heroes identities, it was okay.

He would be there with her, no matter what. Besides....

It was her and him against the world.

ah strike back was such a good episode! I'm excited to see what will happen in season 5 and my mind is already exploding with thoughts and ideas
