Gary's ears perked up when he heard the noise from a distance. It was faint, but he could hear it. It was a noise he knew so well. Looking away from his prey, Gary stayed still in the bushes to listen. All of a sudden, he quietly sprang up from his place and climbed the tree next to him.

From the height, Gary moved some of the tree branches in front of him so that he could see from a distance.

"Sometimes, it is a blessing to have these qualities," Gary thought to himself. Even from quite some distance, he was able to see the two men with hunting dogs wandering around in the forest.

Gary was unable to exactly know what they were doing or what they were saying, but it looked as if they were searching for something. While watching the two men, he suddenly remembered what Leaf had told him before she arrived at Drew's place.

He looked at that distance for a while. The two men must have felt his stares because one of them looked in his direction. Gary quickly hid in the leaves and sat in the branch for a while. Many questions formed in his mind. Why are the two men with hunting dogs in the forest? It is without a doubt that they are hunters. But the hunting season is already over. Why are they still there? What are they looking for? What is their purpose?

Gary can only make theories about what may have happened, but there was no definite answer because they are all guesses as to what had happened. He jumped down from the tree and decided to walk in the direction of the two men that he saw earlier.

To Gary, it was a piece of cake. He was able to sneak close enough for him to hear what they were saying. Hiding behind the two men as they walked forward, Gary listened in.

"There was nothing here!" the first man groaned in frustration. "I don't understand why we are out here looking! How much longer do we need to find?

"What can we do? We can only continue looking. Who knows why the village head is like this," the second male replied with a shrug.

The first male groaned louder and looked into the sky. "Fork the village. They always think they are all that, being full of crap," he cursed.

"Let's just quickly finish what we are here for and then we leave," the second person said logically. "They can't make us go around this place forever. Besides, I highly doubt that they would care for that long." The male waved a folded piece of paper in the air and put it away.

They walked a few more yards deeper into the tangled forest with their dogs and around. Gary was following behind them quietly and secretly. He knew that he would get yelled at if Leaf ever figured out what he was going to do, but for some reason, his instinct was telling him to grab that piece of paper.

The sun slowly rises to the middle of the sky and then slowly sets. Gary was just waiting in the shadows for the perfect moment. The men could feel someone watching them from behind them, but every time they turned, there was no one there. They turned around to look at the space behind them a few times during their journey.

Gary finally had a chance when the hunter was eating. It must be a sign because the man took off his coat, which gave Gary the perfect chance to get the paper from the pocket.

As fast as Gary appeared, he left the second his hands felt some papers and into the forest. The hunting dogs didn't dare to attack him or notify their owners when he was there. His aura was enough to overpower them.

At a good distance, Gary slowed down and placed the paper in his own pocket. It was not what he thought it was. The folded paper felt thick and as if it was multiple papers folded together. He didn't want to open the paper yet. Once it was tucked away safely, Gary glanced up at the sun. It was slowly approaching dawn and he still didn't capture any dinner yet.

"Leaf will know something was up if I returned empty-handed. Let's quickly find something and go back," he thought to himself as he dashed deeper into the forest and began scouting for any small animals that hadn't run back to their homes.

It wasn't until a bit later that Gary was able to get back to the mansion with the bit of game that he caught. Leaf was reading by the windows with the last bit of light by the stairs. She looked up when she saw him enter the mansion. It was just like before. It was as if nothing had changed.

"You are back," Leaf said as she stood up. "You got sidetracked today?"

Gary chuckled and looked down at the three games that he bought back. "You know me so well. I guess so. Where do I put this?"

"Put it in the kitchen. It will be fine," Leaf said, pointing in the direction of the kitchen. She followed behind Gary as he went to place his things down so that they could prepare for dinner.

Almost everything was there. The place was not as dusty or as ruined as he thought. If it were to be renovated, it would be a lot better. Luckily, they had some utensils to start cooking their meal.

It was like any other day. Gary and Leaf would cook together and do some small talk about their day and anything else they had in mind at that moment. It was nothing new, but it was soothing.

"We should try to restrain ourselves from using lights in the evening," Leaf said as she stared at the light in the middle of the kitchen. "Or at least places where there is a window. I worried that it may attract unnecessary people into the place."

Gary nodded his head as he remembered the two men in the forest. They should really wait until the hunters are out of the area before they can do anything. Unconsciously, Gary touched the pocket that had the papers.

Dinner passed by quickly and the two went back to their shared bedroom to sleep. Leaf had nothing left to do, so she just went to sleep at her end of the bed. Gary waited until his partner was asleep before he went to take out the papers. Under the moonlight, he slowly began to read through the papers word for word.

It was not a poster or a letter. It was almost a command or an order. Gary had seen papers like these before his parents passed. With every word that he read, Gary felt uneasy. He read the papers a few times before he placed them away. He looked at the sleeping Leaf before he went to bed. It would be a sleepless night for him.
