Jaces pov earlier
I prepared all day. I made arrangements to have an evening picnic on a hill that overlooks la. I laid out a blanket and lit candles and a couple of tiki torches and had a small fire going off to the side. I got her flowers and I packed sandwiches, chips, bread, salami, salad, cheese, and I bought a fancy chocolate cake with two connected hearts with our names on them. And the stuff to make s'mores. She deserved the best. And this was my plan to give it to her. And tonight I would tell her about the letter. Maybe she will tell me whatever she's been hiding. I put on something nice and brushed my hair off to the side and went downstairs. But then I went back up and grabbed the letter. She should read it for herself. When she came down my heart stopped. She was beautiful as usual but better. We left and went to the hill. When she saw her eyes gleamed with excitement. "Jace this is amazing! I love it!" She said and pulled me into a hug. "Welcome back." I said. We sat down and ate the cheese and Alamo and chips. Then the sandwiches. "This was awesome jace. Thank you." She smiled and I got lost in that smile. "Woah woah woah! Who said tonight was over?" I pulled out the marshmallows and chocolate and gram crackers. We went to the fire and roasted them. Then we just sat in the blanket and stared out at the city. Christine glowed in the moonlight. "The view is beautiful." She said. I stared at her. "Yeah. It is. But it's better from up here." I dragged her from the blanket over to a easy climbing tree. We went up and sat on a branch. "Wow!" She breathed. "Told you it was better up here." I put my arm around her and held her tight. I wanted to enjoy this moment now. Because in a few minutes she might hate me.Christine's pov
This was the most magical night of my life. I can't believe that anyone cares about me enough to do all this. But I know he wants to tell me something. And I want to tell him the truth. "Jace?" I asked. "Hmm?" "I know you are hiding something. I can see it bothering you. What is it?" "It's nothing!" "Yes it is. And I have die thing to tell you too. So if you tell me your secret... I'll tell you mine." "Deal. Your going to hate me for this. I should have given you this a while ago. But I just was to afraid of losing you again." He took an envelope out of his pocket. "This was sent to you the day you got back from the hospital. They've found someone for you to live with. In Florida." I took the envelope and read it. Sure enough I had an aunt in Florida. But it was my choice and I love Henry danger. And I love jace and Sean and Ella and Cooper and Riele. They were all the family I needed. "I know it's your choice. But I didn't want you to leave. I was selfish and I'm sorry." I couldn't even think about being mad. Especially because of the secret I had. "It's okay. I'm not mad. At least you did it because you love me." Jace smiled. "Really? Your not mad? That's great! I don't know what I would do without you. I know that you would never do anything that would hurt me. That's why I felt so bad about hiding this from you. I love you to infinity and back. For forever and longer. There's nothing I wouldn't do for you. I would die for you. Now what's your secret?" I couldn't take it anymore. I climbed down the tree as fast as I could and ran to the railing by the hill. The tears were a flooding ocean that I couldn't control. How am supposed to tell him that I threw away all the love he gave me? He chased after me. "Christine! What's wrong?" He said catching up to me. "I'm so sorry! I'm sorry! It was a mistake! I'm sorry! It shouldn't have happened! I wanted to take it back but it was too late!" He pulled me into a hug. "Shh it's okay. It's okay. It's okay. Calm down." I barley controlled my tears. "Okay now what happened?" I told him everything. From the minute I got to the hospital to the kiss to hurting Lucy. "It was all a mistake. I don't even know why I did it." "So you kissed another boy?" He asked and I started to cry again. "Yes and I'm so sorry. I never wanted to hurt you. Your so perfect and loving and you would never do that and you probably hate me and I understand if you want to break up-" he pulled me in and kissed me. No one would ever be able to kiss me like him. He pulled away. "I don't hate you. It's pretty clear that you weren't thinking but we all make mistakes. I would be stupid to break up with you. I could never find another you. As long as you promise to not kiss anyone else then I forgive you." "I would never kiss someone else. I love you and only you." "I can tell. Your the hardest one on yourself for all of this. But it's okay now." We went as laid down on the blanket and he put his jacket over me. We watched the stars. They all smiled down on us brightly. This was the perfect moment. I never wanted it to end. "Hey jace?" "Yeah?" "Can we make a promise to be completely honest with each other from now on?" "Definitely. No more secrets. And Christine?" "Yeah?" "You don't want to move to Florida right?" "Never in a million years." "Not even if it means being with your actual family?" "Your the only family I need. There's nowhere I'd rather be than with you. I'd chase you to the ends of the earth if I have to." Just then a star flew over head. "Look! Make a wish!" Jace said. "What did you wish for?" I asked. "For this moment to last forever." He said. "What did you wish for?" He asked. "Absolutely nothing. I have everything I need right here." That was the truth. Nothing else mattered now. We were all that we needed. I would never want anyone but him. I don't know how I fell in love with him. There's just something special about him. But it's official. This was the absolute hands down no questions asked perfect night.
