End of convo
I got dressed and went downstairs to breakfast. Jace came down a. While later. He sat down and smiled at me. "Morning sunshine!" He said and kissed my cheek. I was glad it was my cheek. I can't stop thinking about the other kiss and I think I would lose it. "So what are you doing today?" He asked. Clearly trying to make conversation. He was hiding something from me. It kind of hurt that he wouldn't tell me, but then again I'm hiding something probably worse. "Well I'm going to the mall with Lucy to help her get a new wardrobe. Then I don't know. Why?" "Oh I don't know. Do you want to go on a date with me tonight?" I smiled. "Oh my gosh! Is jace norman asking me in a date?!" I fake freaked out. "Maybe I am. So are you free tonight?" I smiled. "Always free for you. As long as you promise it's not another fancy boring place again?" "Deal. It will be casual!" I smiled and then realized I had to go. "Got to get to the mall! Bye!" I pecked him on the cheek before he could kiss me then ran out the door. Mrs. Norman drove me to Lucy's house. It wasn't very nice. It looked run down and dirty. She came out before I could get out of the car and she jumped in. "Hey! Let's go!" She said and we pulled away. We went to the mall and I had to pull her to the stores like Deb and Rue 21 and Charlotte rousse. As we peeled through clothes she started asking questions. "So how are you holding up? Have you told jace about Theron?" "No! He doesn't need to know!" "So your lying to him." "It's not lying! It's just not telling the whole truth." "That's lying." "Fine but he's hiding something from me too!" "What?" "I don't know. That's the problem. He's avoiding something. I can see it. But I can't figure out what it is." "Is he cheating on you?" "What?! No! He would never do that! That's not even remotely possible!" "Okay fine. But maybe you both just need to talk and be honest with each other. Lying is never good for a relationship." "Well I'm starting to wonder whether we are are lying to each other. Or lying to ourselves." She stopped looking through clothes. "What do you mean?" "Well it seems like every time something starts to go right for us everything falls apart again. And we keep saying that we'll figure it out and everything will be fine. But I'm starting to wonder if we're just telling ourselves that to cover up the fact that we're not meant to be." "Oh pu-lease! Do you honesty think that if you weren't meant to be you wouldn't have broken up by now?! Your going to go through all sorts of crap together! That's what makes you a couple! And the only reason your still together is because you love each other! You can't be in a real relationship and expect everything to be nothing but sunshine and rainbows! So pull it together and be glad you have the real thing!" I was surprised she could say that. She seems so much stronger than when I first met her. "Your right. We are definitely meant to be. How about this top?" I held up a shirt. We spent the whole day having fun and shopping. When we went to one last store Lucy grabbed my arm and dragged me over to a corner of the store. She grabbed a beautiful dress with a blue top and a black bow on the waist and floral on the bottom. "That's nice." I said. "You have to try this on!" She nearly yelled. "I don't think so." "Oh come on! You have a date tonight!" "Yeah and I have to be casual." "This is! And it would look great on you! Try it on now! Jacey face would love it! Try it! Try it! Try it! Try it! Tr-" "okay if I try it will you shut up?!" She quickly nodded then shoved me into the dressing room. I put the dress on. "Come out!" Lucy said. "No! I look stupid!" "No you don't!" "I'm not coming out!" "Well if you don't come out I'm coming in! Your choice!" I sighed and rolled my eyes. I opened the door and cautiously stepped out. Lucy dropped the hanger she was holding along with her jaw. "If you wear that dress I'll be your date!" She said. "You look hot!" "Yeah right." She pulled me over to a mirror. Then I saw it. I really did look great. I loved the dress. And it was so comfortable. I decided to buy it and I was about to pay when Lucy slapped my hand. "No no! I pay for it!" "What no! I can't let you pay for my dress!" "You can and you will. Consider it an early birthday thanks for being my friend good luck on your date just because present!" I thanked her and we went and got tacos at the food court. She had about a million bags next to her and I had my dress and some other things. We finished then she made us go home so I would have extra time to get ready. I went home and showered and put on my dress. I put in some light makeup and a gold necklace. I wore black flats. Then I was ready. I left my hair down and wavy. I went downstairs and jace was waiting for me. When he saw me he stopped and stared. It was like we were the only two people on earth. "I know you said casual but Lucy made me-" "you look perfect. It's a natural you. Are you ready?" "Never been more ready. Let's go." Then we left. We walked to the park and I saw what he had done. "Jace it's amazing!"
