A/N So I had to take a sick day but grades close tomorrow so I'm freaking out that I'll fall behind. But in the bright side I have lots of time to update so here you go!

Christine's pov 1 week later
Henry danger got nominated for a KCA! I was pretty excited. Today I was going with Riele and Ella to pick out dresses. And my manager was coming, of course, to make sure I choose the "right one." But whatever, I'm just glad to do something fun with friends. I got up and put on my fancy shirt and jeans. I put my now blond hair up in the bow they taught me and went downstairs. I grabbed a granola bar and an apple and sat down. It was Saturday so everyone had the day off. Jace came downstairs and sat next to me. "Morning beautiful. How's things." He said and gave me a kiss. He's been worried about all week. Jace is doing whatever he can to keep my mind off of everything. He doesn't have to though. I honestly just want to move on. "Things are fine. I'm going shopping today with Riele and Ella." I said. "That's great. But then why are you dressed up so fancy?" He looked confused. "His isn't fancy. It's casual. Now if you'll excuse me I am being picked up at, right about now so bye!" I jumped up. "Just pick something you like!" I gave him a kiss. "I wouldn't pick something that I didn't!" I threw on the jacket then grabbed the purse. I put in the heels which would kill my feet walking around but it's supposed to "complete the look." Everyone was waiting in the car already so I got in and we took off. We got to the mall and started to walk through the stores. I was forced to try on a million different fancy dresses. None of them were me though. I walked out in a sparkling short dress that was tighter than leather jeans in a hot washing machine. "It looks great!" Riele said. I could tell she was lying. "Yeah it looks good, but I feel like it's missing something." Adrian my manager said. "I'll tell you what I'm missing. Oxygen!" I croaked. "The dress only works if you make it work!" She said. I rolled my eyes and went back in to change. I walked out carrying all of the dresses that I was forced to try on. I started to put them all back. "Woah woah woah! Your putting all of them back?" I continued filling the shelves. "Yeah. They're not really me." She grabbed one from my hand and held it up. "None of them? The dress doesn't have to be you. You have to be the dress!" She waved it at me like a red flag provoking a bull. "What does that even mean?" I looked at her. "Let's just keep looking." She smiled. "But we've been at this all day! Can't we get some food?" Ella whined. "Later! Everyone has to look perfect! Now how about this one. And this one. Oh and this one too!" She piled about twenty dresses into my arms until the last few landed on my head. Dress after dress for hours. "Come on! Come out!" Riele called. "No! I'm done looking like a Barbie doll!" I called from the dressing room. "Come out or we're coming in!" Ella called. I peeked out and eventually stepped all the way out. Everyone's jaw dropped. Except Adrian of course. "What? You've already seen me in a million dresses. I already know I look ridiculous! Just get the laughter out now." I said. "Why the heck would we laugh at you? You look great!" Riele replied. "I swear this is the one! It's so you!" Ella said as they dragged me to the mirror. "Yeah right- HOLY MOLEY MANFRED IM HOT!" I almost didn't believe the girl standing in the mirror was me. I was wearing a light blue minidress red dots on it. It was light and fun. It was perfect. "Wow. I look almost like a good looking person!" I said. "Almost? You look full on hot!" Riele exclaimed. "Yeah and with the right accessories you would look great!" Ella said. "Yeah! Adrian it could be perfect! I have a black sports jacket and converse and sunglasses to go with it and-" Adrian jumped in. "Converse?! Sports jacket?! Christine you can't wear converse to an event like this! This dress is way to casual! You have to go more fancy and elegant so you really stand out!" She said. "But-" "no. I know what's best for you and it isn't this." She said sternly. How was I supposed to argue? "Fine." I said. Soon we decided on another fancy dress that I hated and we went to the food court. I just got a salad and a water. Adrian approved. I sat down with Ella and Riele. We had a light conversation for a while. It seemed like they were waiting for something. When Adrian left to go to the bathroom their eyes lit up. "Come on we don't have long." Riele said. "What?" I barely asked before they grabbed my arm and pulled me from the food court. "Where are we going?" I asked while being dragged along. "We are going to make you beautiful!" Ella said. We arrived back at the store. "But we already bought a dress!" I said. "But not the one you really wanted." Riele grinned wildly. We went inside and found the dress again. "I don't know guys. It feels like we're going behind Adrian's back." I said doubtfully. "Yeah because that's what we're doing." Ella said but Riele stepped on her foot. "Look I saw how much you liked this dress and if you like it. If it shows who you are. Then you need to follow your heart." Riele said. I seriously considered it, but I couldn't risk people not liking me. I walked out without the dress. I have to do what I have to do. And I have to suck it up and put a smile on while doing it.
