For the remainder of the day, you just sat on the couch warching tv.
You tried desperately to get your mind off of everything, but it wasn't working.
It was quarter after four, when you finally decided to text Justin.
Not call him, just text him.
You nervously pulled your cellphone out of your pocket, and scrolled through the contacts until you found Justin.
You and him actually haven't texted that much, since you had been busy, and you'd seen each other quite often.
You got to his number, opening up a message.
Taking in a long deep breath, you gradually started to type. You: hey Justin-
You thought of what else to say.
You: I'm-
You quickly erased all of that, starting over. You felt that maybe it was necessary to just be face to face, in order to talk about this and apologize.
You then erased the message again, jumping off the couch.
During your date, he had mentioned where he lived.
You knew that it was pretty close to the diner, but you didn't know where exactly.
Altrough his directions weren't the most explanatory.
You quickly grabbed your purse and keys, rushing out the door.
You didn't care that you were still in your sweats, and pajamas, you just really wanted to talk to him. After a good ten minutes, you got to his street, that was on the other side of the river.
You slowly drove down it, looking at every house.
He had mentioned that it was dark cream house, but there was a few of them.
You decided to just park on the street, and try your luck with each of those houses. The thing you hadn't thought of, was the idea that he may not be home this afternoon.
It was Saturday after all.
You walked up to one house, knocking on the door.
You had waited for at least ten minutes, with no one answering.
There didn't seem to be anyone inside either.
You sighed, and walked across the street, to the next house that colour.
You knocked on that door, rocking back and forth on your heels nervously. The door opened, and there stood an older woman.
Not real old, she looked to be in her late 40's.Woman- may I help you?
You- hi.. uhm.. is there a guy named Justin, who lives around here?
She nodded, pointing to the house across the street.
Woman- yes, he lives right over there..
You- oh.. so I had the right house.. well no ones home..
She rolled her eyes.Woman- I don't doubt it.. that kid's always out partying.. drugs.. so on.. came home last night at.. god must've been at least 2 in the morning.. waking up the whole neighborhood with his nonsense.. loud music.. there's been talk of kicking him out of here soon.. and I'll say good riddens to that good for nothing soul..
You looked down, saddened by her attitude towards him, and the things she said about him.
You- you said he does drugs?
Woman- oh yes.. you know how many times, we've had the police up here? I don't know what your business is with that boy, but I'd advise you to not get involved with him.. now if you excuse me, I need to go..
You- oh okay.. thanks very much..
You stepped back, as she closed the door. You then went back across the street, and sat his front steps.
You didn't care how long it would take him, you wanted to talk to him, you needed to talk to him.
So you waited. And waited. It was now becoming pretty dark. You looked at the time on your phone, seeing that it was almost 10pm.
You had waited for at lease five hours for him.
Your whole body was sore from sitting on his concrete steps for that long. Finally you saw headlights from down the street.
Your heart raced in hopefulness, as you waited to see if it was Justin or not.
As the vehicle got closer, you could see that it was his.
He slowed down, parking into his driveway.
You sat there, looking straight at him, as he did the same with you.
Eventually he got out of his car, making his way to you.Justin- hey..
You- hi Justin..
You stood up, brushing the dirt off your pants.
Justin- how long have you been here?
You- it doesn't matter, all that matters is that you're here now..
He crossed his arms, looking hard at you.
Justin- how long..
You- since like.. four thirty..
He let out a long breath.
Justin- you should've texted me.. or called me..
You- I'm sorry.. I.. I just couldn't..
He raised a brow.
Justin- why not?
You- I just needed to talk to you in person..
Justin- alright.. well.. I'm here..You- I know..
You cleared your throat before speaking again.
You- I'm sorry about last night Justin-
Justin- stop stop.. don't worry about it..
He interrupted.
You- I can't.. like I'm sorry I did that to you..
Justin- it's fine.. I shouldn't have -
He shook his head.
Justin- yeah it's fine..
You- no it's not.. like.. I don't want it to be just ba a one night stand thing..
He squinted at you.
Justin- well I didn't either.. you know.. before you kicked me out..
You- I know I know.. I screwed it up..
Justin- nah.. you have a boyfriend.. I don't know what I was thinking.. I was in the wrong y/n..You placed a hand on his arm.
You- no.. no you weren't.. you didn't make me do anything.. I chose to..
because..
You gulped.
You- I.. like you Justin..
He didn't say anything.
For a long while it was quiet.
He wasn't even really looking at you.
You- well..? what do you-
Justin- I think.. you should go home..
You furrowed your brows.
You- are you trying to be like me now? you're trying to do what I did to you? you want me to feel that pain?
He shook his head.
Justin- no y/n, I-
You- cause I've felt that pain.. over and over! that's why I came here.. that's why I waited for five hours for you.. I know how it feels, I wanted to make it right with us.. you know what? I don't even know how I feel about you honestly..
You sniffled, and walked past him.
He grabbed you firmly by arm, pulling you back.
Justin- stop..Tears started streaming down your face, as you began to sob.
Justin- shh.. y/n..
You continued to cry, not able to control yourself.
He cupped your face in his hands harshly.
Justin- y/n!
That startled you enough, making you stop immediately.
Justin- please stop.. I'm sorry..
He taced thumbs along your skin, collecting the tears.
You- I'm sorry too Justin..
He looked as though he really wanted to kiss you.
But he never did.
Justin- you wanna come in..?
You sniffled once more, not sure about it.
Justin- just to talk.. nothing else.. I promise..
You- okay..
You gave in.
This had been the reason you came here in the first place. So if he was willing to talk to you, then you wanted to do it.
