Chapter 6
~1856~
Madeline was looking forward to the day. She was jumpy with excitement.
“Lady Madeline, please don’t act like so,” Madeline’s chaperon told her in a disapproving voice once she noticed how Madeline was practically bouncing on her seat with joy.
“Miss. Steele, I’m just so happy. I have a good feeling about today, I just know that something wonderful is going to happen, I can feel it in my bones and today I’m going to see Cassandra as well. Oh how I’ve missed her,” Madeline said with a contented smile.
Miss. Steele tried as she could to calm Madeline down until she was respectably composed.
Madeline Woods was like any other one and twenty year old young women with a few exceptions of course that made her stand out from the rest. The only difference was that she was just breathtaking beautiful, with long blonde hair and blue glacier like colored eyes. Madeline had almond shaped eyes that went well with her high cheek bones.
She had developed quite well in body shape; she had the right amount of curves in all the right places. At last that was what some not very chivalrous gentleman and skirt chasers had whispered discreetly in her ear numerous times.
She was 5’4’’ which she hated because she secretly wanted to be taller. It wasn’t always good for a woman to be tall in these times it was sometimes considered to be not feminine and demure, not at all fashionable but that was if you didn’t have to right body structure, of course.
