Chapter 7
Before she could respond, "Of course, she would love to”, Sandra answered for her, not that her voice was functioning anyway. Sandra’s voice effectively breaking her out of her astonishment and she took his hand while slightly blushing from embarrassment. He escorted her to the dance floor and the music started.
If anybody really cared to notice they could have seem the automatic desire they felt for each other. The atmosphere around them practically sizzled, the room had suddenly turned a little warmer and her clothes had become a tad more constricted.
There was an inevitable connection the instinct their eyes met. The world stopped for a second. Madeline was engrossed in the depths of his sea blue eyes and he looked to be lost in her clear blue ones as well.
It’s was a miracle that they were even moving around to the music with how immersed in each other they were. He must have been the one guiding her because if it were up her they would be simply standing there on the dance floor; not moving a muscle just looking into each other’s eyes.
Madeline felt like she was floating in soft and puffy clouds and him and her were the only ones there. The people around them vanished, the music floated away and the world centered only on them. His eyes made her think of the clear blue sky and the crystal-like beauty of the deep blue sea.
"I'm sorry; I don't know your name. I don't know who I am having the pleasure of dancing with,'' Trent said after a while of silence.
''I am terribly sorry, how rude of me to not have introduced myself,” she said lowering her face so he wouldn’t see her blushing furiously. “My name is Madeline Woods", she replied with a slight blush now.
