"I hope you don't mind that I brought Tallia along, I just want her to experience what could happen" Alex smiled, as Lacey nodded her head, her feeling of being replaced filling her body all over again. "I don't think I've ever felt this nervous" Lacey mumbled, as she tugged on her earpiece, looking at Alex through the mirror, letting out a shaken breath. "You'll be amazing, as always, you don't have to worry about it" Alex smiled, as someone dressed in all black and a headset approached the door. "Five minutes till stage" he smiled at Lacey before heading back down the busying hallway. "Now or never" Lacey whispered, as she stood from the chair, wearing a simple white dress, with an overly long white cardigan, her hair and make up simple, which was Lacey, just simple.

As Lacey approached the stage from the side, her eyes scanned the crowd, looking for the eyes she wanted to see, and sure enough in the first row was Lauren, Declan and Mason, all stood talking under the light from the stage. "Hey, break a leg" Tallia smiled towards Lacey, as Lacey smiled briefly at her. "I hope you're ready for this life" Lacey chuckled, as Tallia beamed at her. "If I can be half the performer you are, I'm sure I'll be fine" she smiled, touching Lacey's shoulder in a comforting way, before the signal was given to Lacey, and she walked on the stage, smiling, putting on a show.

"Hey guys, so as some of you may be aware, one of my personal songs was released today, or leaked beforehand, and it only felt right to release it out myself" Lacey breathed into the microphone. "I wrote this song through a really hard time in my life, and I mean every word I sing, so tonight, for the first time live, this is Praying" Lacey smiled, as the music began to play, and the crowd began to cheer.

Well you almost had me fooled, told me I was nothing without you, and after everything you've done, I can thank you for how strong I have become

Lacey closed her eyes whilst she was signing, almost as if she was too scared to admit this was how she had felt all that time, as if all of a sudden she wished the song had never been leaked in the first place.
But I'm the crowd, her friends stood, cheering her on every step of the way, she would always have them to lean on, they would always be there to fight her corner, to pick her up when she fell, and cheer her on when she shone, and this was one of those moments.

But you brought the flames and you put me through hell, I had to learn how to fight for myself, and we both know all the truth I could tell, I'll just say this as I bid you fair well, I hope you're somewhere praying.

Mason stood in awe at the girl in front of him, trying to contain her emotion, hearing the pain in her voice as she sang gave him chills all over his body, in a good way, but also remembering what she had been through, and what she continued to do despite everything. He smiled up at her, clapping and cheering her along, being the supportive boyfriend he was, but he couldn't help wish she would open her eyes and let her see the love the room had for her, the love he had for her.

I'm proud of who I am, no more monsters I can breath again, and you said I was done, well you were wrong and the best was yet to come, cause I can make it on my own, I don't need you, I found a strength I've never known.

Lacey hit every note she planned on hitting, or hitting above it, causing the crowd to cheer, the roof being raised from the room, as everyone just took in her song, listening to her words, listening to how strong she was as a person.

Sometimes I pray for you tonight, someday maybe you'll see the light, some say in life you get what you give, but some things, only god can forgive.

As Lacey continued to sing, she started to open her eyes, but would continue to shut them, almost like she was blocking everything out, but at least with her eyes closed she couldn't see the tears that left Masons eyes as he watched the girl he loved five everything she had to that performance, knowing her voice would be strained and broken after, but knowing she needed to do this, she needed to heal in her own time, and hearing her sing her song and the crowd sing it back to her, Lacey knew she had healed and grew from the past trauma, she knew she was lucky enough to find love again, Mason was the light of the darkness she had walked through.

"Thank you" Lacey whispered into the microphone, as she opened her eyes, her own tears falling, as she wiped them quickly, walking from the stage heading the crowd boom for more around her.
"Lace" Masons voice breathed, as she walked straight into his chest, his arms automatically wrapping around her, holding her close for as long as she needed. "Oh hi Mason" Tallias voice chimed behind her, making Lacey look up from his chest in time to see her smiling at him, as she felt Masons heartbeat beat faster from his chest. "Oh Hey Tallia" he smiled, as Lacey looked quizzically at Lauren and Declan who were stood behind Tallia. "Oh so you know each other?" Lacey questioned, looking between her boyfriend and her new colleague, as Tallia nodded her head smiling. "You could say that yeah" Tallia laughed, before she smiled at him again, walking away to find Alex, but she could feel Masons eyes following her. "Well" Lauren mumbled, as Lacey shook her head at Lauren, Lauren understanding. "So, shall we go get changed" Lauren questioned to Lacey, changing the subject quickly.
