A month into the heartbreak between Lacey and Mason, a heartbreak that had rocked the friendship group let alone London city centre, the break up being plastered all over social media, all over the news, but both of the young adults were thriving, Mason playing more in the champions league, Chelsea ready and prepared to win with everything they had to give, the World Cup in the Chelsea players eyesight, training everyday, every night, even if it was just a distraction from everything. But two months in, and Lacey's tour was rocking LA, the young girl using the power of her heartbreak to fuel the energy on stage every night, FaceTiming Lauren, Sasha and Dani whenever she could, promising that she was fine, promising that she was okay, even if she was one cry away from breaking down and giving up on everything, Mason keeping Lacey to the back of his mind.
Three months into the heartbreak that was slowly beginning to heal in one of the young adults, but slowly creeped back on a night, lying in bed alone, wanting nothing more than to hear his voice, or feel his arms wrap around her, holding her close, she wanted him, more than ever.

Six months into the heartbreak that was now invisible to the public eye, the rumours stopping, the lies that were slandered across the media disappearing.
We're sorry but the number you have dialled is not in service
England made their home debut at Wembley, Lacey in the crowd with her friends, a smaller fragile person, her hair dyed brown, the sparkle in her eyes that were usually green wasn't there, her emotions shining through her appearance, she was miserable, and it was obvious.
Mason flying around the pitch, obvious the fact she was in the crowd, obvious to her even being in the UK again, even if it was a short stint. "Why don't you come home?" Lauren whispered, as Lacey shook her head, her eyes never leaving the brunette on the pitch. "You're still coming to the wedding though, right?" Lauren questioned, as Lacey nodded her head, her eyes still focused on the brunette haired boy, watching as he knocked the ball from the left wing into the opposing goal, her chest feeling warm as Chilly, Jack and Declan embraced him in a hug, smiling at him, she knew he was okay, and that's all she wanted. But then a year had passed, Lacey holding the invitation to Lauren and Declan's wedding in her hand, she was always planned to be a bridesmaid, always planning on attending, but she still found herself scanning Mason social media pages, anything for information that he had moved on, found love elsewhere, but he never did, always holding the singer in his mind.
But the moral of the story is you can be so broken, so damaged, and you have to learn to love yourself again before you can learn to love someone else, even if the feelings are already there.
If you get a minute to call me back, because I'm so lonely, and you're the only one who knows me.
But as Lacey stepped off the runway Dow the terminal to Heathrow airport, the memories of LA clouding her mind, the sleepless nights, the atmosphere of the venues she would perform in, she couldn't help but smile when she saw Declan and Lauren at the waiting gate, smiling at the girl, who looked broken, who looked like she had been to hell and back.
Where as Mason, sat in his own house, Mounty running around now full grown, a constant reminder of his relationship with Lacey, the photos that they had taken together still scattered on his fridge, he never wanted to move on, he never wanted anyone else, he just wanted her, it would always be her.
But Lacey was more damaged than ever, shutting herself off away from her friends and family, only really returning to the UK for her friends wedding and the lead up to it, she never wanted this to be a rekindling moment, no matter how much she wanted to brunette footballer, who was now a champions league winner, the second time around, as well as captain for his boyhood club, England still battling through the World Cup to bring it home for England once more.I can see it in your eyes, baby, just for one time I was hoping, yeah one time I was hoping
"Is he okay?" Lacey whispered, as she sat in the back of the car, Declan placing the suitcase in the boot, as Lauren sighed. "He misses you, you miss him, why can't you both just fix it" Lauren whispered. "One last time" Lauren continued, as Lacey looked down at her lap, toying with the charm bracelet that her friends had given her for her birthday, the football charm finding its way between her fingers.
The truth was, miles apart you'd expect them to heal over time, the truth was they were all the other thought about at night, each time Mason would strike a ball into the back of the net he looked up into the crowd for Lacey to be stood there cheering him on, when Lacey sang go the crowd and the lights would go up, she would scan the crowd for his brown eyes, to see him smiling at her.
The truth was also that no matter what you try to do in life, the heart wants what it wants, and both adults remained in the others heart, no matter how many times the other had tried to move on, or how many drinks were drank, or dates were planned and had, it always led back to the other. But as Lacey, Lauren and Declan all approached the bar that their friendships had formed in, walking in and seeing, Sasha, Jack, Ben, Emily, Callum and Dani, Lacey couldn't help but feel like she was half way home, where she really belonged despite the longing to be on stage somewhere in LA, but then she saw the brown eyes she saw at night when she closed her eyes, the small smile on his face, nursing a bottle of beer, and she felt her heart warm.
