It was a Saturday morning and I wanted to sleep a little late, although it's not in my nature to act in that manner but the workload of school and extra work of babysitting Giovanni can take its toll, hence I require some extra time for myself.

My plans for some much needed "me-time" were spoilt by continuous knocks on the door. I jumped out of my bed angrily and rushed to open the door. The sight that awaited me increased my anger tenfold. Standing in front of me was a man I hated with every cell in my body, my dad.

"What do you want, that too so early in the morning?"
"The Romano family has arranged for a picnic in the private forest they own and have invited our entire family"
On hearing this I thought to myself 'I don't want to go there alone or spend my free time with Giovanni' then
I remembered about Emilia.
"Emilia will be joining us there?" I enquired.
"Yes, she will be coming along with us" my dad said.

I breathed a sigh of relief, at least with Emilia around I won't have to worry about getting lonely and isolated during the picnic.
I told him that I needed some time to get ready and he smiled and closed the door behind him as he went downstairs.
I finished with my morning routine, took a quick shower and applied light makeup and some sunscreen as it was a sunny day. I looked in my wardrobe for a dress which will be appropriate for the occasion, initially I was at my wits end but finally I managed to find the perfect dress, a medium length light blue colour dress, I paired it with a flat sandals.

I gave one final look in the mirror, after my heart's satisfaction I walked downstairs to see Emilia seated on the couch waiting for me

I gave one final look in the mirror, after my heart's satisfaction I walked downstairs to see Emilia seated on the couch waiting for me. She had tied her hair in a bun and was wearing a lovely yellow dress, we greeted each other and exchanged a warm hug and then headed straight for the car.
