I feel sharp pain all over my body as if a hundred daggers were stabbing me at different places on my body.
It hurts everywhere. I don't want to open my eyes. I just want to sleep forever but my peace was disturbed by an unknown beep sound. I tried to open my eyes. I squinted my eyes a bit rough, shutting them tightly once before opening them again. A bright light hit my eyes as I gradually opened them.
They weren't bright but they seemed almost blinding. I looked around the room it was a spacious room. But even before I opened my eyes, I knew the place, a hospital.
The rich scent of medicines and freshness of surgical sanitizers thickened the air. I looked at my left hand that had a needle connected that was my IV.
At first, I tried to remember what exactly happened that landed me in hospital. I was in the process of remembering when all of sudden the door my hospital room was pushed open and a figure walked inside.
That person was none other than the great GIOVANNI ROMANO. But the question was what the hell is he doing here? And it was then when I remembered what actually happened.
I remembered that Giovanni has beaten up me very badly and that’s how I landed up in hospital. It would be a lie if I say that Giovanni has beaten up me for no reason.
I was guilty and I deserved it. It was all my fault. I shouldn’t have listened to veronica and spiked Aurora’s drink. God knows what was that pill used for, by this time Aurora must have become aware of my misdeeds and she must have become aware of my involvement by now. I couldn’t muster the courage to share my feelings with her but sure as hell ruined my chances forever.
Giovanni took a stool and sat on it. I was really scared because my body wasn’t in a shape to handle another beating that too from Giovanni.
“Look I’m not here to beat you up. I just want to know the truth” Giovanni said “What exactly you want to know?” I asked. My throat was dry and I really wanted some water but I wasn’t in a position to ask water from him. As if he read my mind, he passed a glass of water to me. After drinking water, I felt better. “I know that you are not the master mind behind what happened in the party” Giovanni said.
I remained silent thinking about my next answer and how to salvage the situation because now there was nowhere to run as everything was in the open. After contemplating for a bit, I said “does Aurora know about this?”
Giovanni nodded in affirmative making my worst fears come true. “I have a question for you although I know the answer but I want to hear it from you?” Giovanni said. “I know that you love Aurora, she might be naïve and unable to see your love but I can as a man” He continued and I nodded my head in agreement. “I really like her but my actions were really wrong I should have confessed my feelings to her instead of taking this route, I really messed up” I said to Giovanni.
