I woke up early because unlike regular lazy weekends I had something really important to do this particular Saturday morning.
I finished my morning routine and took a nice long bath and put on some clothes that would make me feel a little good in this twisted situation.
With summer just around the corner, the Italian weather had grown oppressively hot. I decided to embrace the heat with a black pleated skirt that swayed lightly with each step, and a vivid red tee that popped against my sun-kissed skin. I completed my ensemble with a carefully chosen selection of accessories, each piece adding a touch of flair to my look.

As I was heading out my brother enquired "Aurora where are you going so early on a Saturday morning?"
"I am going to a café nearby to chat and spend some time with Emilia" I lied and walked out of the house.
The café was only a few hundred metred away so I decided to walk. On reaching the café, I could see Veronica already seated at her table, with an anxious expression on her face. I guess whatever she wanted to tell me has caused this, my heart wants to believe her and give her a second chance but my mind warns me of another imminent trap waiting for me.
I walked over to the table and greeted her before taking my seat. Her expression changed from anxious to hopeful on seeing me.
"Let's order something first, what would you like to have?" she said in a cheerful manner.
"Veronica I am here as I promised, let's cut to the chase and get to the main issue at hand" I replied rather coldly. "Let's get the orders out of the way, I know you don't want to see my face and want to be done with this as soon as possible" Before I could reason further with her the waiter arrived at our table, anticipating an order.
I ordered a chicken coleslaw sandwich with a bullet espresso, Veronica orders a latte.
Once the waiter leaves with our orders Veronica brings her face closer towards me and says "Thank you so much for agreeing to this arrangement, I have something really important to share related to both of our families"
